Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Neverendum is now evens. The gammon will be going ruddier faced by the day.

:o)

A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “Theresa May has been more in and out than the Hokey Cokey.

“Given that she’s Remaining in power, for now, would it really be a surprise if she performed another EU turn?”

Ah yes another one of those eh quite a few of those on both sides of the house along with that other lot... accountants.

Both lots as slippery as a snakes.

Cerise Noire Girl - 13 Dec 2018 17:27 - 10843 of 12628

Blimey, Fred.

It's half past wine. That poem's far too intellectual for me.

:o)

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2018 17:50 - 10844 of 12628

Just dreams.

European Union leaders have said the Brexit withdrawal agreement is "not open for renegotiation", despite the desperate appeals from Theresa May.

Showing your true allegiance Stan. Haw Haw was hung for that. Welcome back Hays, Stan was pining for you, you will not be glad to hear.
As for that Fred, his kids need to keep him off the jungle juice. The sought of grandad that no one will own up to. Sexting indeed.

Fred,

I Googled Azura Cerise this morning - I knew the name was familiar.

Only 0.99 € a punnet in my local Intermarche during the summer.

:o)

Fred1new - 14 Dec 2018 08:56 - 10849 of 12628

I had no knowledge of Azura until yesterday!

I tried google and Wiki.

Neither had they!

But I liked the poem.

The poem brought back dim and distant memories.

Very dim and very distant.

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain’s opposition Labour Party said Prime Minister Theresa May had failed to win meaningful changes to her Brexit divorce deal at a summit with European leaders.

“It seems that the Prime Minister has failed in her bid to deliver meaningful changes to her Brexit deal,” Labour’s Brexit spokesman, Keir Starmer, said.

“We cannot go on like this. The Prime Minister should reinstate the vote on her deal next week and let Parliament take back control,” he said.

Another success for the Neo-con government who are denying parliamentary democracy!

Clocktower - 14 Dec 2018 09:21 - 10852 of 12628

LOL Fred - You speaking of democracy - Joker in the pack.

Then then results of the referendum should have been followed by Parliament.

I accept you may suffer from dementia but you have been reminded many times, by numerous posters that 52% voted to leave the EU - over 17 million people.

Clocktower - 14 Dec 2018 10:21 - 10853 of 12628

Dreadful numbers from France - The EuroZone will suffer without the UK more than they bargain for with a Clean Break.

2517GEORGE - 14 Dec 2018 11:14 - 10854 of 12628

Agree Ct, and the auto figures (3 months of decline) are only going to get worse.

cynic - 14 Dec 2018 11:19 - 10855 of 12628

gloating is fine and even understandable, but sadly it does not help the present situation in uk
of course, no one knows what will happen at the very end - the greek bailout is a good example

Clocktower - 14 Dec 2018 11:38 - 10856 of 12628

Greece showing signs of positive trends still cynic.

cynic - 14 Dec 2018 11:40 - 10857 of 12628

maybe now (no idea) but i am talking about the sabre-rattling and more that went on when they needed zillions to keep them afloat

Fred1new - 14 Dec 2018 11:44 - 10858 of 12628

Manuel.

You seem to be beginning to realise the dénouements and phantasies of so called "Brexit".

Keep it up!

cynic - 14 Dec 2018 12:58 - 10859 of 12628

as i've told you umpteen times, i'll live with whatever comes along
if it ultimately means that it's not worth being in business or worse, then i'll just sell up and retire

certainly if labour+corbyn+mcdonnell (ever) get in, then it won't be the retired who get clobbered the worst, but as usual, it will be the middle classes

and of course though you perpetually castigate those who voted out, you are no less culpable for not voting at all

Fred1new - 14 Dec 2018 13:07 - 10860 of 12628

"if labour+corbyn+mcdonnell (ever) get in,"

they will be looking out for you.

(They have a little list, you know!)

What's your address again?

8-)

PS.

How much longer do you think you have to go.
