RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Rumour has it that institutions have started to buy in. RTD could well be back over 20p very soon.

javidshaik - 20 Apr 2004 23:34 - 1087 of 2406

where did you hear this rumour then?

overgrowth - 20 Apr 2004 23:37 - 1088 of 2406

From an extremely reliable source in the US.

Fundamentalist - 21 Apr 2004 09:47 - 1089 of 2406

Having looked at the last weeks trades there is possibly small evidence to support this. A large number of 500k blocks have gone through (often recorded as sells though the price has gone up). We will only get an RNS on institutional buying once they buy in excess of 8m shares so still looks unlikely in the short term.

For the time being the share appears to have bottomed out (famous last words) and hopefully will start to climb slowly upto the AGM where we will get confirmation that trading is strong/new contracts etc.

Or as Douggie would say :))))))))

Talking of sources in the U.S, I have heard that RTD is highly regarded in the U.S Are they traded on the US exchange? it's interesting that they have a following over there. Does anyone know if RTD trades in the US and to what extent? Obviously it's a huge market but are there also US co's doing the same? RTD I think is the market leader over here, maybe there is growth opps around the world. I'd appreciate any comments

Fundamentalist - re institutions buying, It can be difficult to know as they sometimes build a sizeable holding by drip feed buying, lots of small amounts, different in size and quite often by computer, thereby doing it without it being obvious and mopping up the shares without forcing price up to quickly, and then they suddenly announce they've acquired so many percent of the co. However, it's good to see the larger buys, the ones that tend to move the price.

Tokyo - 21 Apr 2004 20:55 - 1096 of 2406

glad to see people returning to this thread, have to admit my fingers are crossed for a return above 20 pence after the meeting on the 30th.

overgrowth - 22 Apr 2004 08:14 - 1097 of 2406

Tokyo - it looks as though that's a certainty now - fingers crossed or not.

scotinvestor - 22 Apr 2004 13:02 - 1098 of 2406

Yes, RTD is now back on way up after last 6 weeks of silliness (just like after last Sep results!!!!)

Should go to 22p at least before next resistance. Hopefully will get to 30p as predicted. I still think it will go to 40p some time this year

Fundamentalist - 22 Apr 2004 13:57 - 1099 of 2406

Scot - in full agreement - would rather see the climb a bit more gradual this time. Good to see the volumes strong as well

ps nice rant at GS

scotinvestor - 22 Apr 2004 14:58 - 1100 of 2406

lol

Tokyo - 22 Apr 2004 17:37 - 1101 of 2406

overgrowth - good call, now lets just see these prices stay here

mitzy - 22 Apr 2004 17:51 - 1102 of 2406

I'm in at 18p so 22p looks likely...

Fundamentalist - 23 Apr 2004 08:37 - 1103 of 2406

Morning all,

Good to see the continued growth in share price on good volumes - and its friday! Lets hope this continues upto the AGM where some good news will give it another kick in the right direction

good luck to all holders and :)))))))))))))))))))) for Douggie

apple - 23 Apr 2004 09:41 - 1104 of 2406

Last week, I was going to top up on TAD, I'm glad that I changed my mind & topped up on these instead.

It looks like we may get back UP to sensible prices again.

Yep :-) Douggie

overgrowth - 24 Apr 2004 00:00 - 1105 of 2406

Another steady day - looking good.

If RTD keep their price in the week after the AGM, we should really see some action.

Douggie's certainly going to have a nice surprise on his return. :-)))))
