Looking for an android app that will allow me to get live currency prices and charts. Anyone using one? Don't really want to give my name to another Fx broker for a free demo if I can help it.
edit - I would consider opening another s/b account to get this.

Thanks Skinny. Not sure it does Android, but will investigate. I still have a few quid in a cmc account, so would be convenient to not have to open another one.

Will do Skinny - I only got this smartphone in November, and am a huge fan already - and I've barely scratched the surface.

Looking for a job? This could be your perfect opportunity. Or you could run a mile....
Dear Forex-TSD user,
A well-known international firm, specialized in Forex, has approached Forex-TSD to assist in looking for professional FX traders who are interested in discretionary managing of its clients accounts. Traders will be compensated with a relevant performance fee on a monthly basis.
Note that our client is looking only for real professional FX traders and asked us to filter automated computerized systems or aggressive trading strategies that could work just for weeks, then burn any past profit and the full account.
If you are consistently making money, with very reasonable max draw-downs, and would be interested in managing accounts, just send an e-mail with the information detailed below to professionalFXtraders@forex-tsd.com and we will put you in contact with our client after a quick analysis of your trading:
1. Use your own words for describing your trading activity. Include all the information you may consider relevant, not your secrets, just what you take into consideration for trading, such as target, risk management policy, size of trades, size of your own account, symbols you use to trade and a summary of what % of monthly profit you are getting per month, max drawdown, average number of trades per day, max number of open positions, etc. Take into consideration the EQUITY, nor BALANCE, for providing monthly profits and max weekly drawdowns.
2. Detailed trading record through www.myfxbook.com.
Once you are introduced to the CEO of our client, you will continue the deal directly with him.
Thanks again and do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information.
Sincerely,
The Forex-TSD team

Did anyone read this weekend's Money section of the FT? David Stevenson on P10 is having a real go at spreadbetting, but he raised an interesting point:
'A recent IMF report recently suggested that betting on the direction of a direction of a currency - a mugs game if ever there was one - was not a good idea and shouldn't be allowed'.
I think this is obviously meant in relation to spreadbetting, but the same argument he made about leveraged dealing with spreadbetting must apply to forex trading as well. Anyway, I think he's wrong :-)

One of the problems is new blood. The thread was very active when we were trying to get our heads around Fx and Hils was doing all the teaching. There's a treasure trove of information in here further back. Those that have cracked it are continuing to trade it, those who haven't have moved on to other fields. And not posting.
