VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

..thanks for that belisce6..

goldfinger - 10 Nov 2005 12:05 - 1096 of 2220

Drilling in December, good news. Market sentiment especially for smaller caps holding these back, mind at some point its going to change as P/Es for small caps get cheaper and cheaper. If we see interest rates going up there could be a transfer back to small caps.

cheers GF.

Its just patience needed with this ultimately the company is delivering again on its objectives and will only require time for to be fully appreciated! PS take a look at MTT flying today.......in a sea of red

Global Nomad - 12 Nov 2005 15:19 - 1098 of 2220

just returned from a working week in barcelona.....it would be a great place to stay and work, but at least this news made for a pleasant return...

Global Nomad - 17 Nov 2005 08:29 - 1099 of 2220

more news flow and potential growth...

wilbs - 17 Nov 2005 08:35 - 1100 of 2220

blackbelt - 17 Nov 2005 09:12 - 1101 of 2220

Another piece of the jigsaw in place hopefully see it return to a more realistic valuation

Madison - 17 Nov 2005 09:36 - 1102 of 2220

With vanadium deposits at 30 to 304 lb per ton that makes for a lot of vanadium.

Working on the lowest figure (ie. 30lb per ton): at 35,000 tons that makes 1,050,000 lb of vanadium. At $12 per lb that's over 12 million dollars just for the vanadium. OK, costs, royalties, metric ton to short ton conversion etc.etc., but it still looks very good to my back of the envelope calculator.

Not to mention the uranium.

Cheers, Madison

belisce6 - 17 Nov 2005 09:58 - 1103 of 2220

they just keep on coming......and i am more than happy for the sp to not really do the silly thing of rising at crazy levels for only a day or so.....cos it means that i can quietly keep building my stake; as the company keeps acheiving its aims.....

the way the U price is going; it'll probably see $35 by xmas-new year.....

i recall listening to a webcast by the t1ps.com guy and his work colleague at wotshot.com (not sure about the exact name of the latter site), and the guy - i think his name is Conrad (from the latter site), mentioned that the AIM listed stocks with any U content may have a run in the future, as they haven't really sparked up the way other the other markets have so far (such as in Aus, US and Canada) - with massive sp rises posted over the past 12mths. So i read into all of that, that perhaps these tipssites will be jumping on the bandwagon soon enough.....in which case VML will have to be mentioned.

A decent paragraph was written on it on the resources/oil page in todays Sharesmag......

doughboy66 - 17 Nov 2005 10:23 - 1104 of 2220

VANE is in the due diligence period on a further two properties in Southeastern
Utah and is actively pursuing additional breccia pipe uranium properties in
Northern Arizona; details will be announced when they become available.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE commented, 'This acquisition is another
important step in VANE's growth, further strengthening our position within the
uranium sector. Our projects are still in the exploratory stages, but all have
significant upside. We will continue to seek additional holdings as we believe
this is a market which will deliver substantial added value for our
shareholders.'

doughboy66 - 17 Nov 2005 12:15 - 1105 of 2220

On the back of good news i`m really surprised to see such a low volume of trading today.

Madison - 17 Nov 2005 13:17 - 1106 of 2220

Nothing surprises me anymore with this one DB, but you would think with the continuing proof the company provides of meeting its aims and objectives (including cashflow commencement), and the guarantee of uranium announcements, that there'd be a little more interest! I think it's just off the radar for many. Quality will come through in the end though.

In the meantime, as belisce says, it gives a great opportunity to build a position.

Cheers, Madison

belisce6 - 17 Nov 2005 13:21 - 1107 of 2220

although haven't delved into their past announcements today; thought that they must be near to declaring what kind of gold resource (measurment-wise) they have at Mina Charay......wouldn't it be nice to see that they are preparing to mine it, and perhaps plough the cash into their U tenements......

blackbelt - 18 Nov 2005 09:05 - 1108 of 2220

A good write up in Shares yesterday, in the Prospector.......

"With copper prices hitting all time highs the backdrop could not be better foir VANE minerals which is set to begin drilling at its Choix copper prospect in Mexico This follows 32 surface samples indicating a copper grade of 1.85%. Sampling is now complete and the first round of drilling - a precursor to a feasibility study and then mining - is set to begin in December."

jules99 - 19 Nov 2005 01:02 - 1109 of 2220

This little wonder is going to boom in the weeks to follow, dont we just feel it..!

The volume and interest has Not caught on but that makes it better for all of us, as we have certainly not missed the rising boat to sail.

When the report is released, this could also rise up like Victoria Oil and Gas did aren't we blessed, more upside than down at present levels one must admit also, December is a great month to wait for the first round of drilling, even if it is freezing next month...brrrr...!

The price of copper is only going UP..!

loadsadosh - 28 Nov 2005 09:46 - 1110 of 2220

A better than normal purchase of these this morning, is there any news imminent?

Mr Mole - 28 Nov 2005 09:59 - 1111 of 2220

On my watchlist...not in VML at the moment, but it does seem a bit livelier....will keep watching

Mr Mole - 28 Nov 2005 10:11 - 1112 of 2220

Well spotted loadsadosh...dipped toe back in..something's up...!!

loadsadosh - 28 Nov 2005 10:12 - 1113 of 2220

Just ticked up, something must be fueling this spurt of activity, but what?

Mr Mole - 28 Nov 2005 10:35 - 1114 of 2220

Kickoff3pm
Panic-driven price spike in uranium stocks ahead!

Its mind-boggling. Were in a uranium shortage so huge that half the worlds 441 nuclear power plants might go dark. Yet 80 new plants are in construction or planningmostly in Asia.

If you think the fight between China and the West for the worlds oil is big, this will be more like a nuclear bomb. And its fueling an historic uranium stock-price explosion that will dwarf oils surge.

Uranium-mining stocks are just beginning to rise. Its still early, before they reach historic highs.

I like it.
