Forex rebates on every trade - win or lose!

Mega - sadly true!

MightyMicro - 24 Jun 2011 16:53 - 10954 of 11056

The trick might be to republish Hil's tweets here. ;-)

Seymour Clearly - 24 Jun 2011 16:59 - 10955 of 11056

One of the problems is new blood. The thread was very active when we were trying to get our heads around Fx and Hils was doing all the teaching. There's a treasure trove of information in here further back. Those that have cracked it are continuing to trade it, those who haven't have moved on to other fields. And not posting.

skinny - 24 Jun 2011 17:49 - 10956 of 11056

MM - I don't do tweets!

SC - you mean we are getting old(er) :-)

MightyMicro - 25 Jun 2011 01:22 - 10957 of 11056

skinny: SC will tell you how. You should follow him @MrClearly and Hil @CeriseNoirGirl and even me @MightyMicro. You don't have to tweet, just follow and listen. Add in Limpy @DavidJones_IG and your life is complete.

Limpsfield - 27 Jun 2011 11:05 - 10958 of 11056

I too think it is a shame this thread has died.

Forex is probably the hottest market amongst spread bet clients. I think the main reason for the appeal is clearly the volatility. Which appeals to new traders, which can be a deadly combination for a lot of them. Maybe the same happened here - which again is a shame.

chocolat - 01 Jul 2011 22:36 - 10959 of 11056

I don't do tweets either, so I haven't a clue, and soz for not posting much these days.
Only got so many fingers - and still counting ;)

Actually that's an interesting observation, Limpy, FX being the hottest market 'n all that.
P'raps that's why it's gone off the boil a bit for me. It's always on the backburner, but lately commodities keep the gas lit.

MightyMicro - 01 Jul 2011 23:19 - 10960 of 11056

Hi Choccie, good to see you posting. Even if we can't persuade you to tweet.

skinny - 04 Jul 2011 10:18 - 10961 of 11056

A chocolate tweetie ! :-)

Seymour Clearly - 14 Jul 2011 14:00 - 10962 of 11056

Folks, show Hils your support - she's currently in #254 out of 5644 Forex traders, and moving up, in an Alpari trading competition. I'm in a measly #965.

skinny - 14 Jul 2011 14:02 - 10963 of 11056

Well done - both of you - even you measly :-)

Mega Bucks - 14 Jul 2011 14:46 - 10964 of 11056

SC,just spoke to Hils telling her well done, not bad for a beginner :-)

chartist2004 - 19 Jul 2011 00:37 - 10965 of 11056

Hi all, not sure what I'm doing wrong! opened a CMC demo account 3 weeks ago and managed to blow up 10k, ! a week ago (Mon) put another 10k into my Demo account, now have 34,066 trading FT100, Dow and EUR/USD. I'll try not to give it all back like normal! : )

skinny - 19 Jul 2011 06:50 - 10966 of 11056

Now you have to do it for real! :-)

Mega Bucks - 19 Jul 2011 07:47 - 10967 of 11056

Trading a Demo account and a Real account are poles apart!!

Seymour Clearly - 19 Jul 2011 08:08 - 10968 of 11056

Sounds like your positions are far too big! Sorry if this is grandmother sucking eggs territory, but that sort of increase is too fast ..... unless you're very very good - which I'm not.

chartist2004 - 19 Jul 2011 16:57 - 10969 of 11056

Hi all, thanks for you feedback, up date bank now 38,064 after 3hrs trading.

Yes my position is at times large, always set a stop and sell limit, often leave 50% of profit on the table!

The real test as Skinny says is using my own brass. Used my own money many times, still down !!

Seymore, very good a trader, no, just very lucky so far!!!

Limpsfield - 21 Jul 2011 12:57 - 10970 of 11056

Mega Bucks: "Trading a Demo account and a Real account are poles apart!!"

I hate demo accounts with a passion. Utter waste of time.

Its like a sixteen year old virgin trying to become casanova by watching a load of internet porn.

Well, maybe not quite like that but I know what I mean.

MightyMicro - 21 Jul 2011 13:03 - 10971 of 11056

Does that mean you'll go blind playing with your demo account?

skinny - 21 Jul 2011 13:07 - 10972 of 11056

Limpy - your analogy doesn't quite hit the mark!
