I believe antivirus is built in with Apple's updates.
A bit of 'Googling' tells me a good program for an Apple Mac Pro is called
AdwareMedic but it does need the machine to have at least OS X 10.7
It's Free and gets rid of Adware and Malware - so download it and do a scan, would be my advice.
EDIT: AdwareMedic is now called
'Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac'. So that's nice, isn't it? :-)

Another of my offspring with a problem!
This time, its with outlook (something I don't use).
They have 2 inboxes set up (and have had for a couple of years).
One of the inboxes isn't showing all new emails, although they show up when I log in to Office 365.
If I hit F9, the other inbox gets refreshed, but not the one that I'm in.
Any pointers please.

Thanks - a bit more of a delve and it seems that the "missing emails" are from one email address.
These show when logged in via Office 365 but not in outlook - the latter shows them in the new message count but not in the list.
I assume they are hidden somehow?

I've managed to "find" them by setting up a search folder for the sender - still not sure why they don't appear in the inbox..

Windows 10 (64bit)
I've been getting a lot of 'Chrome Browser Freezing' of late. AV scans and Anti-Malware scans showed nothing.
Browser freezing is extremely annoying. Sometimes, I couldn't even close the browser down and had to revert to using Task Manager to sort it.
My research on solving this problem has led me to first completely uninstall it, which I did extremely comprehensively with IObit Uninstaller.
I am following a suggestion, which others have found does the trick, and am now trying 'Google Chrome Beta', which I downloaded from:
https://www.google.co.uk/chrome/browser/beta.html

I used to get that with XP and Vista, so have bitten the bullet and upgraded PC to 7 and laptop to 10. So far not had any problems, though I only use Chrome as not a great believer in using multiple browsers. Sometimes it seemed that certain software providers had to play catchup when Microsoft issue an update. Adobe, Java and Chrome sometimes seem to be one step behind. Trusteer Rapport is another one which won't work any more for me. Seems to be incompatible with latest version of Chrome.

I'm on Windows 10 (OS build 14393.447) and Chrome version 54.0.2840.99 64 bit and have no freezing problems.
What I do have an issue with is the ongoing slooooow loading of threads on this site!

Could it possibly be that the web is getting overloaded with traffic and is no longer able to cope?

I eventually had to uninstall Rapport, after e-mailing IBM support, as they were having difficulty in updating their version to be compatible with the latest Chrome update. I haven't reinstalled since and have had no problems. Possibly coincidence.....?
I do keep my computer pretty clean, without unnecessary apps, add ons, etc
With modern PC's and laptops I don't think RAM, hard drive capacity or processor speed is an issue any more, unless you are into gaming or streaming.

Nope....I use Avast on my PC....free version. Uses less resources than AVG, imo. Not tried the above. They all try to upgrade you to the 'pay version' pretty quickly.
