ENVESTA TELECOM A NEW BEGINING (EVS)

Ling - 05 Aug 2005 10:44 - 1097 of 1643

another bad day. The EVS directors should be shot and I see that KJ has deserted his sinking ship.

guru11 - 05 Aug 2005 20:35 - 1098 of 1643

I bought into YOO in a small way and sold at a small profit but think that YOO may be too late now. FMJ has had a bad day too, after an RNS today.

EVS have had 2 x 1 million buys today, but even so the share price slipped day on day this week. Maybe someone is thinking that EVS is now low enough. In early April I was way in profit on EVS, now the situation has been badly reversed. It is my worse loss since October 1987. CCR I understand may well get customers not only from Joe Public but also Corporate so the potential there is huge. The cash flow problem in time could disappear altogether and they may only need to borrow money short-term. Another disaster though for the share price would be if they had a rights issue, especially with the word "dilution" However if KJ puts his head on the right way around then he will avoid this. The thing to remember is that EVS said it still stands to meet profit targets. I still have around 85% of my original holding, but I badly need this to recover, due to the hit I have taken. KJ has done well to set up CCR this is where the future lies, and it could be big time, thus the 2 x 1 million buys today.

Dr Ling the important next date is the end of September for the results statement, if this is more carefully / sensitively / worded - which I believe it will be - then it could support the share price more.

My man in Reading is concerned that they have a working capital problem and mentioned the large salaries that the directors were paying themselves for an AIM company. They need to come up with the goods and increase shareholder value.

My wife is also a doctor, although not a GP but a Herbal Doctor and due to her constant studying since leaving school she would probably be more effective than any other herbal doctor around - here or in China. Specialises in skin trouble, although is very effective in a lot of areas.

Ling - 06 Aug 2005 06:47 - 1099 of 1643

Guru11 - well said. I'm afraid you are not the only one with quite large losses! There is someone on the AD V FN board called Mufmitz who is into TA and he seems to know what he is doing. I know a little about TA and he seems to be the man to follow. He did predict the fall I gather.

I am a Child Psychiatrist and I am not against herbal medicine. The only problem with stuff like St John's Wort is the strength of the mix they give you. Prozac and Venlafaxine may be better. Ritalin has been around for 50 years and is very useful in cases of ADD and ADHD despite what some people say about it.

Talking of skin disorders I see the odd case of severe acne and it is very crippling, especially for a teenage girl, and there is a drug called roacutane which offers a remarkable cure. It is supposed to have side effects - one of them being suicide -but I think that is probably nonsense. The suicide risk with severe acne is very real whether the patient is on drugs or not.

guru11 - 06 Aug 2005 23:44 - 1100 of 1643

Well I certainly need to rethink my investment policy. Devonlad was saying he recently bought into DGM who announce that their results will be on the 6th Sept., on Friday the price was very supported. I must admit I have not followed TA, but they can be tricky. I did cfd's in Tescos and it can be tricky even with a good company to say whether the SP will go up or down on the day of the results, or whether one should - and more than likely - sell on the day before results.

Dr Ling - Did you see the two one million buys on Friday. Is someone now bottom fishing one should ask. At present I am only holding a paper loss instead of a paper profit, but I must admit that my timing has been very bad since April with EVS. You live and learn - some times it costs one money to do this. I realise now where there is a profit - take it or some of it. CCR will pick up some corporate customers which will lead to better revenues. If this is mentioned at the end of September, together with the shortage of working capital being less of an issue, then EVS could pick back up. I intend holding on to the rest of my holding in the hope of a better trading statement at the end of September. I think we will see some more big buys from some experienced investors now bottom fishing.

My friend in Reading does not particular like EVS, but he has got it really right on a number of ocassions, with JPM Indian warrants (10 fold), Carplay (6 fold), Stylo in which he has a fortune, although it was a hit last week when he said how well the stock market was going, when EVS has had a really bad two weeks. I choose the right stocks but get the timing wrong sometimes - QXL, SEO, JP Ind. Warrants, sold out too quickly

My wife ran a herbal clinic in Kumin, in China for 7 years where she employed around 10 staff. She says that when herbal medicine is used by a professionally qualified person there should be no side effects, as she has had no complaints in the past. It is a combination of which herbs that is used as to how effective treatment can be. She will not give out combinations of herbs used as she fears they will be pinched by others, so there are herbal doctors and herbal doctors. There are GP's and GP's, thus not all spot something as serious as mennigus straight away. I feel a lot better in myself now at 55 after being with my wife than I ever did before I met her.

I will be reading the trades screens again next week on moneyam. The smaller investor may still be selling out, but will the professional investor now be getting back in. How serious is the cash shortage one must ask? They may be trying to move to fast if they are running out of cash. My man in Reading was not happy about the directors salaries though, saying directors do look after their own interests. Why did Heyworth-Dunn sell 1 million shares before the TS? Next week will prove interesting. The prospect of CCR and the increasing turnover in EVS makes in my mind EVS a strong hold.

CFE could have been bought at 0.85 now 1.4p, but too late now probably. I've had a black cloud before with Clubhaus and Paul Davidson "the plummer" director of Oysterteck took a real kicking after buying 2 million shares at 31p. which went to 15p then 8p and then lower.

Ling - 07 Aug 2005 14:12 - 1101 of 1643

Guru - CFE is not a buy at this time.

capetown - 07 Aug 2005 14:21 - 1102 of 1643

Hi Dr Ling,

I still think this stock will turn itself around.
Hope you well.

guru11 - 07 Aug 2005 14:50 - 1103 of 1643

Dr Ling - I agree, Julian Richer - of Richer Sounds - cause he likes the management I believe has lost a lot of money on CFE buying in at a much higher price, and was holding. It is still struggling.

capetown - are you a holder of EVS? I think that the news will get better.
Hopefully at the end of September the statement will be more positive, with the issue over the shortage of working capital then sorted out. Will we see more bottom fishing next week? The price should be firmer at these levels and even move up next week.

The turnover keeps increasing - CCR is an excellent product with no catches - you get what you see on the can with no hidden charges - some telephone cards have a daily maintenance charge of 10p once they are first used, so if you only use it every 2 weeks it has run down 1.40 in the meantime.
CCR is plain and simply and honest.

capetown - 07 Aug 2005 15:46 - 1104 of 1643

Hi guru,
i am a holder of EVS,i will ad next wekk to average down,i agree with you,yes the ts was not well put but then the price went up from 2-above 6 on news that the company was making a profit,so if this is sustained i am confident it will recover, the n climb again on confirmed good news which should be forthcoming in sept

22B - 07 Aug 2005 19:16 - 1105 of 1643

capetown - I believe that the September statement is cruticial, more important than the results, and that KJ will not make the same mistake and will give the statement much more thought as to the perception it could receive by the market.
Two things that could vastly improve the share price in the statement -
1. Saying that the working capital problem is not as big an issue as first thought and availability of funds are in place if required - overdraft, or whatever
2. CCR turnover is increasing more rapidly than first expected - with generating revenues from Companies.
Our hands are in KJ, lets hope he has a good holiday, and his mind is on the job when he comes back.
FMJ started off badly today, but recovered a bit now.

guru11 - 08 Aug 2005 09:53 - 1108 of 1643

That too is seen as a reversal of the trading statement in April, saying that they were looking for an acquisition, now they apparently cant fund an acquisition without a paper issue. The biggest problem now is credibility. You tell shareholders in April of a rosy prospective future, only in August to say:

that you are now short of cash, there will be no dividend, and no acquisition,

that is why the SP is under pressure, as investors read between the lines.
Can KJ and KMcG gain this credibility back? They need to if the SP is to recover.

Ed Straker - 09 Aug 2005 18:06 - 1109 of 1643

I have e-mailed the company asking that the FD clarifies the situation regarding working capital. I believe the shares should be suspended until such a time. I feel the current price is a gross distortion of the true value of EVS and is leaving it in a vulnerable situation. I find it hard to believe that no comment has been made regarding the catastrophic fall in price when the company appears to be performing well.

Ling - 09 Aug 2005 19:30 - 1110 of 1643

Well said. I am nursing very large losses and I blame it entirely on the board. They couldn't have made a worse mess of the recent statement.

Haystack - 09 Aug 2005 19:47 - 1111 of 1643

People keep expecting EVS to issue a statement about the fall in the share price. The statements tend to be something like:-

"The company has noted the movement in its share price and knows of no reason for it".

What if the 'knows no reason" bit is not quite right. Do you still get the statement?

guru11 - 09 Aug 2005 23:21 - 1112 of 1643

Haystack - there will be no statement believe me.
I dont expect one certainly about the falling share price either.

tallsiii - 10 Aug 2005 09:55 - 1113 of 1643

The 2006 PE is now looking tasty at less than 4. They have stated that the company is on target to meet expectations, but the eps may be watered down a little if there is a new share issue.

I still think it may have a quite a bit further to fall before buyers feel it is time to jump back in.

annbar - 10 Aug 2005 15:39 - 1114 of 1643

Had lunch out today with ****** ***** and we think one or two recent posters on the other site might get their collars felt - oh dear.
