To clear up any confusion regarding the share allocation of Marakand shares to holders of Oxus shares. ------ Anyone buying shares in Oxus today will be entitled to a 'dividend' of 1 share in MKD for every 10 in OXS.

Holding up amongst all the carnage today, and it's worth remembering that William de Broe's conservative valuation for Oxus is 118p against a price of gold of US$400.

Scottie,
Too true, I see Avocet has taken quite a clobbering!
I hold both, so at least Oxus is partially offsetting my AVM losses.

Aj,
I checked, and couldn't find it!
I read the article, but upon searching through the various Merrill Lynch fund epics, it wasn't apparent which one the article was referring to, at least to me anyway.
I wanted to compare the performance of the fund with gold itself, and various gold miners for a guide.

all,
Oxus held up well today in my opinion, a very small drop, and Marakand rose!
Thinking of topping up.

Going to top up tomorrow aimtrader, I was waiting for it to drop by about 2 or 3p today and it didn't happen. I think it is going to go up again by another 6 -10p before, and after, the results of the gold pour come out in the next few weeks.. And I'm really surprised Marakand has hardly retraced since it went loopy last Thursday!
