Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

Well, looks like Qube have completed their online marketing for Apollo's Pad:

Results

We successfully launched the new show online in March 2008, generating more than 24,000 unique visits in the first month alone.

Our social media marketing activity helped the concept gain traction in the online community of puppet enthusiasts as well as with the target age group of 16-24 year olds on social networking sites like Bebo, MySpace and Facebook.

http://www.qubes.co.uk/case-studies/apollos_pad.php

The AP's website stated that changes would be happening on the 2th of June which is obviously a deliberate error so could be the 2nd or even 12th of June-lol

It is quite possible that Apollo's Pad was a trial run for testing and building up an online format that could then be used for other IP's in GON's stable or the format sold to other parties.

Should be an interesting month!

Hmmm, never noticed that before! If you Google Apollo's Pad it now now appears in the 'Sponsored Links' section.

Ohhh and as of today there is a direct click-able link to the Phoenix site from GON's main web page.

June 10th-12th 2008:

There's only one Licensing International Expo.

Its the worlds brand and property marketplacethe very definition of concentrated licensing opportunity. In three days, there are more deals, connections, and ideas than most businesses are exposed to in a lifetime. If any part of licensing and brand extension is your business, Licensing International is your event. The earlier you register, the sooner the pre-show opportunities start flowing your way and your fortunes are realized.

Sharpe to shepherd 'Skunk Fu' to U.S.

Galleons U.S. licensing roll-out for the property comes on the heels of Skunk Fu!s launch on Cartoon Network last week and the shows U.S. premiere on CW Television Networks Saturday morning Kids WB! animation block last fall.

We are delighted to be representing Galleon for Skunk Fu!, said Charlie Day, Sharpes president. Its an exciting entertainment brand that has been gathering awareness in the United States following its television launch on The CW some months ago. Sharpe is well placed to build a significant merchandise program for Skunk Fu! in North America.

Also interesting to note that yesterday the link to 'Robot Information Technology Co.' website was down in both the English and China versions.Today only the front page can be seen but only via the China link below:

http://www.weyee.com/

A few days ago (on Super Soccer Star) when you let your mouse pointer just rest over the Icon it came up with 'Yunbo' which would explain why this Icon is part of 'The Galleon Group of Companies' on the Phoenix website below:

Edit-just noticed it's actually still there in the address, doh!

http://www.footballshow.com.cn/fs/imag/yunbo.jpg

http://www.phoenixglobal.tv/home.htm

It's also worth noting that the news updates contained within the 'Robot Information Technology Co.' website stopped at 2005!

Therefore,it is logical that this website is in the middle of being updated!

(Ed-straight to the point as usual!)

Ahhhhhh,I should have guessed that 'The Sharpe Company' are at next weeks Licensing International Expo 2008 for Skunk Fu:

http://www.licensingexpo.com/licensingshow/v42/index.cvn?id=10437

Looks all a bit last minute, imo.

I think if you read the link below it would appear GON are just testing the water here and maybe seeing if the potential/interest is there from manufacturers who would pay GON a license fee for the manufacture of various goods eg duvet covers and the like using the Skunk Fu brand name.
Anyway,it should be a positive news week regarding Skunk Fu at this event.

Amazon-Germany Available 30th June

guarantee and further royalties linked to sales volume."

banjomick - 09 Jun 2008 16:40 - 1119 of 1609

From todays announcement:

"It has three main subsidiaries:

Galleon Entertainment: Owns, develops and manages entertainment based IP targeted at kids and teens.

Croco Worldwide: Designs innovative bespoke in-pack premiums for global Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies. It has the design, manufacturing and operational capabilities to take an idea from concept through to market.

Phoenix: Designs and sells interactive media platforms to broadcasters enabling them to offer interactive voting to viewers. Since its acquisition, Phoenix has been able to provide a provision of content and IP to television broadcasters, creating opportunities to co-produce shows."

Why then on the Phoenix website does it clearly show four and states:

'The Galleon Group of Companies'

Will have to look further into this as I assumed one was Yumbo......(Ed-It's ok,he always talks to himself)
