Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Do we know when we shall be able to see the time a level 2 order is placed on the book. This was mentioned some time ago as on the wish list and I was wondering when it was due to be available.

Is Level 2 not running today - Sunday. It would be useful to see the quoted spreads of the MMs for certain stocks as the market closed on Friday. I tried using L2 but nothing appeared today.

BT - thank you I will get the tech boys to look into this.

TT - It is still on the wishlist at the moment, but I will keep you posted.

Haystack - we are somewhat at the mercy of what our dataproviders are sending through, but I will raise it as an issue.

Request: the main thread list is difficult to follow when there are very long thread titles as they are wrapped. Could they either be truncated (with an alternative hover over text), or given a resizable columen. Or whatever is necessary to make the list more readable.
TIA

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Jul 2003 14:46 - 1112 of 7315

BT,

I will pass this on to the tech boys to see whether it is something they can do.

Thanks for the feedback

I feel that the thread search feature would be enhanced by searching across both BBs. This would serve two purposes. Firstly it would save me from repeating the search on the other BB. Secondly if the search result could say which BB the threads were on it might encourage the Investors BB members to upgrade to Traders BB if they saw that their chosen stock was being discussed on the other BB. At the moment the Investors members have no idea what is on the traders BB.

I still have to use charts from another site as they do not include the current day's data. This seems to be the only financial web site that excludes current data from chart.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 30 Jul 2003 14:23 - 1115 of 7315

Haystack,

Thank you for your feedback, I will forward on to the appropriate developers.

Any other ideas - please e mail me

ian@moneyam.com

Thanks

External chzrtig systems are end of day and include the current day by definition. On line ones always include the current day at the current price. It is important to be able to see if stocks have broken above certain levels.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 30 Jul 2003 14:42 - 1117 of 7315

Thanks Haystack - I have forwarded to Mike and the tech team.

Tgis was covered previously, earlier in the year. The response was that today's prices should not be included. Every poster on here disagreed though.

Thanks Haystack - feedback has been passed on - e mail me with any other ideas - ian@moneyam.com

Enhancement request - MACD, adjustable - inter-days and intraday (eg. 5/15 min)

axdpc - 31 Jul 2003 23:33 - 1121 of 7315

Any news on when will be the next software release - eagerly awaiting some
of the enhancements to be implemented.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 01 Aug 2003 07:17 - 1122 of 7315

axdpc,

Felix is hard at work on these, and they remain a top priority.

I am looking at MMD on Level2 and the yellow strip is showing zeros. 1 at 0 and 3 at 0.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Aug 2003 14:46 - 1124 of 7315

I will look into this for you Haystack.

Ian

EDIT: Haystack,

I have just spoken to our data suppliers who will be refreshing the information which should clear the problem.

Regards

Ian
