Great latter part of the match performance.......great team spirit.....shame that Gerrard just couldn't get that fourth goal....we would be ahead of the French with more goals scored......we now need another win and perhaps quite a few goals scored to win the group.....trouble is, will Sweden be motivated in the other game ?....will be difficult against Ukraine no doubt but England can win this game ...and a certain Rooney will be back !....I'll take the top one Skinny....

Spain or Italy.... if we get through...couldn't be more difficult....best to win the group if possible but that probably means winning by at least 2-0..perhaps..3-0....tall order....because France are bound to win...

Won't be easy at all RF, effectively playing "away" to the Ukraine tonight. Can the defense hold out? that's the question for me.

I think the defense was a little unlucky against Sweden...the first goal was ping-pong...hit everybody too quickly...and the second is one of those swingers that are incredibly difficult to stop.....do you follow the man or watch the ball type goals....we have to score that's for sure and the more the merrier....

Thought Parker was magnificent, he is going to need the extra day to recover. So far so good. Obviously far better to play Italy than Spain, If the Italians are mad enough to play Balloteli let's just hope Terry's a bit more subtle in winding the head the ball up, every time I see Balloteli he's got 'sent off' written all over him.

I'm I the only one here who thinks we were at best - mediocre? Rooney was so out of form as to almost be a liability - yes I know he scored the winner, but that was more by luck than judgement. And our defence!

England are shite skinny, but we knew that before the competition. So it's great that they have got this far. :O)

A bit harsh.....we need to retain the ball better.....5 days rest is just what they need...that extra day could make all the difference...don't forget that was an away game last night...so it was a major result against a good side...and to be fair England stand a better chance against Italy than Spain....it will be incredibly difficult as Italy have some tremendously talented players and form a very compact group....Dil ! don't shred your euro wallchart planner just yet !...

So long as England beat Italy I don't care what happens after that. Well, I do, but expectations are not high. Italian football is about as dull and littered with theatrical dives (or even divas) as I can think of.

England have been dining out on the short term "new manager boost" that can happen when a new man at the top is appointed, so a lot of credit goes to Roy Hodgson from me. How much longer that lasts is anyones guess, Very unlikely to beat Italy though in my view.. but you never know.
