the course is well worth going on - it will open your eyes to a new opportunity - it certainly did mine. Initially i dont think i would want to rely on it as a sole source of income - you will need time to develop what strategies work for you and possibly develop some additional ones.

Hi everybody

I'm new to all this but have booked for the course on the 23rd Feb. I'm getting myself a bit confused though. In post 1093 above bakko states

"I've just backed at 1.21 and layed off at 1.07"

Am I correct in thinking if plyer 1 wins there will be a profit of 14 (assuming 100 stake) and if plyer 1 looses there would be neither a profit nor a loss - or am I looking at it incorrectly?

Any help gratefully received.

I'm not sure what you mean by player 1 but in the circumstances described by bakko he has basically won the difference between backing at 1.21 and laying at 1.07. 14 as you say assuming a 100 stake. By doing so he cannot lose though he may yet win nothing. Once he has 'greened up however, he would win, whatever the outcome of the match.

I woudn't want to steal Scrip's thunder by revealing all before the course Stuart. Suffice to say it's a simple process which basically distributes your potential profit (or loss) on one outcome across all possible outcomes. Very clever.

Harlosh is quite correct in explaining it. I'd already greened up meaning that I was on a win regardless of the final result. At that moment Fundy was kind enough to provide me with an update and based on the strength of that I decided to squeeze it more for a bigger profit.(Thanks once again, Fundy).

It definitely is a very simple process and all will be revealed on Scrip's course

For those of you on the golf AT+T Pebble Beach there's a good opportunity to lay off Mickleson at 1.48/1.51 now with a chance of backing or greening up later. The odds have drifted slightly even as I've been typing.

Excellent profits from both the cricket and Man derby today. Lets hope it continues with the rugby.

I've had a right mauling in the rugby this afternoon. I backed France before the start of the game and spent the latter part of the first half trying to recover my losses as England looked too strong to give it away. In the end managed a 1.50 profit on France but it was hard work.
