Right now we're getting to where your analysis is coming from.Valuing a company on its tangible assets as if in a fire sale.
If you take the tangible assets of COH they're 6.2p / share, for MLR they're 1.1p for VOD 22p.So by this analysis COH would drop 83%,MLR 92% and VOD 86%. MLR pre aquisition figures as that's when you bought in. So a silly way of doing a valuation.
Now if a company was losing cash at an operating level there would be problems don't you agree. In the last published results VOD made 17.8p cash / share,COH 0.66p and MLR lost cash at 0.24p / share.
So by your bottom line analysis VOD is 8 fold overpriced COH 7 fold and MLR 12 fold.If you use your criteria MLR are not even worth the fire sale price at the time you bought in.
In reality VOD,COH and MLR all have values in excess of their assets, just showing that your analytical method is worthless.

Well I am supposed to have met David10b,Waxman or TittyMarsh whatever name he is using, all I can say is that I have been to two COH AGM's and there was this crusty old fart at the first who kept on about the rate of growth and seemed abit pis.ed off with RW, the next year he praised RW and the board for their sterling work... This would fit with what we have experienced in Davids rambling deramping posts...

GOOD AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN.
YOU ALL SEEM TO BE LIVING IN THE PAST MLR IS NOT THE COMPANY IT WAS etc etc etc
IT HAS GREAT PRODUCTS A GOOD MARKET AND IS COMING OUT OF A PERIOD OF BAD MANAGEMENT.
IT FITS THE BUFFETT CRITRION FOR A GOOD RECOVERY STOCK---AND THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.---NO NEED FOR MORE TO BE SAID.
When I came to the BB, as stated serveral times it was in direct response to AdieH's ramping.
Using my methods it was easy to see COH was about to fall, I said so, it did.
Thats good enough for me.
I dont mind your insults as they are only a reflection of your frustration and anger so if it helps you please carry on, I do not mind in the least.
What is important to me is that I may have prevented some buyers from getting burnt , by staying away.
Now that COH is in free fall the 20s are beckoning it.
Kindly please also bear in mind that AdieH was ramping COH as it was falling. Therefore kindly take a look at his posts on iii as Gonner---says it all

haven't really been following all the recent shenanigans on this thread, but if 10B has been saying don't buy, then i thoroughly agree as i have posted several times, for the chart is pretty ugly

FTSE down over 100 points today looks like end of the Bull run and the bears are at work...

I have clearly spelt it out why I think COH is as you say a dog.
I formally invite you to clearly present your barking mad case for MLR
being of similar cannine qualities, that is if you are up to the task.

adie .... no the bull run is categorically NOT over! ...... nothing ever goes up or down in a straight line and for sure the strong upward trend for both Dow and FTSE is still firmly in place .... a correction on both has been due for a while

Looking at the MoneyAM home page chart it looks to be 50 points down. Sold another 50,000 COH today, probably regret it, but at least I've still got a reasonable exposure. Just hedging my bets.
David10B you're just being a lucky b*st*rd with your prediction so far, that's all. Your reasoning is all bo**ocks. You apply different criteria to assess the worth of MLR than you do to COH!

Well Ultimate Cynic what I would say to you id that its far from luck.
I am here to make money.
Furthermore you may learn somehting by understanding that stocks are like people you can not evaluate them all the same with the same analysis-
Try lifting your intellecto to a higher level, that is if you can take in different concepts of stock evaluation.
But if you think its all luck thren good luck to you as there as none so blind as those who do not wish to see-.
