Well ive just done one of my normal stock pick items but some how lost it by bringing the Money am board up twice, drat I hate it when you lose a lote of timely work.
Stream Group looks very promising. Historical P/E of around 25 forward P/e of circa 11 on forecasts. Has an high Beta. Excelent work force in the fore front of 3G. Fidelity as also a stake in the company.
Management could be set to announce a contract or a tie up with a big gaming/gambling company very soon.

It is MS. Just out from Killik brokers...............
Sentiment in the near term appears to have turned with active profit taking in the second liners after a terrific run to the start of the year. How far things will come back is the obvious key question but so far, it does not appear as if too much stock is coming out and this feels more like a healthy correction rather than something more significant.

Referring to info about American idol from results "Stream has been selected, to operate the SMS 'chat' service for the forthcoming series of American Idol. American Idol is the highest rated non-sports show on American television."
Yes i did watch american idol over the weekend, and was amazed to hear that over 40million people phoned in to vote for the first live vote of the series!! If only a fraction of these people decide to use the chat service provided by stream, then the cash should start rolling in. IMHO

Still in with half my original holding from the CFDS chap on CityWire this evening.......................
This leads me on to a trading play for Stream Group (SEA), previously tipped by Citywire at 39.8p in November last year. The 45 million company is primarily a mobile applications and content provider. In the last year Stream has transformed itself from being mainly a provider of white label services for third parties, to that of selling content direct to the consumer via its websites www.go82020.com and www.thecircle.com, where you can download games, ringtones, video streaming and horoscopes among other things.
The company recently issued impressive preliminary results for 2004, which showed profit before tax up 73% to 1.9 million, earnings per share up 24% to 2.45p, mobile revenues up 61% to 7.4 million and a proposed maiden dividend of 0.7p. The company holds 5.4 million cash at the year-end. This puts the company on a p/e of 31, which at first glance appears expensive, but taken in the context of a rapidly growing market, may look fairly priced.
Stream has made its first acquisition with a strategic move into mobile banking, in which it predicts will play a very significant part of the mobile marketplace over the coming years. The company is also working with Ladbrokes on mobile betting applications in which it hopes to launch games by the second quarter of this year. Stream already has a bookmaker's permit and in the chairman's statement, he mentions that gambling 'will be a leading revenue source for the mobile industry in the future'.
The stock is supported by a number of shrewd fund managers including Giles Hargreave of Marlborough Fund Managers and Patrick Evershed of New Star Asset Management, among others. The stock is rising strongly after breaking out from its resistance of 48p. We see no reason why traders should not back this stock to go further and therefore long positions should be contemplated at current levels, with 70p providing reasonable interim support.
cheers GF.
