Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Martini - 02 Jan 2019 10:58 - 11109 of 12628

What will be the question Stan?

Stan - 02 Jan 2019 11:05 - 11110 of 12628

In or out knowing what is now known of course M.

Martini - 02 Jan 2019 11:14 - 11111 of 12628

O and what are the terms will we have with the EU if we leave?

Fred1new - 02 Jan 2019 11:25 - 11112 of 12628

God knows!

Ask him/her/it.

2517GEORGE - 02 Jan 2019 11:44 - 11113 of 12628

I see French and German manufacturing goods declined again.

Martini - 02 Jan 2019 12:00 - 11114 of 12628

To be Frank Fred I like to be informed on these major decisions

Fred1new - 02 Jan 2019 12:12 - 11115 of 12628

Then ask T May to give Parliament the full treaties, contracts, regulations of trade which the government says it has agreed to or will agree to and scrutinise them.

(Over 50 years worth of negotiations and promises.)

As you know your Government can't decide on them so people will vote accordingly of course.

Martini - 02 Jan 2019 12:21 - 11117 of 12628

Sorry Stan not true the Eu won’t discuss them till the withdrawal agreement is settled. Do try to keep up..

Stan - 02 Jan 2019 12:30 - 11118 of 12628

If anyone needs to keep up it's you M.

cynic - 02 Jan 2019 13:08 - 11119 of 12628

When will the shipping company`s start taking bookings fror the New Ferry Services after Brexit - will they start soon after the MP`s Vote to leave with a clean break from the grips of the EU?

Stan - 02 Jan 2019 13:18 - 11121 of 12628

C/T...file under M, Alf etc.

Fred1new - 02 Jan 2019 13:43 - 11122 of 12628

This government can't even regulate a Train Service.

What hope do they have of organising trade agreements and legal regulations?

Forgot, they have given a boat contract to a company without any boats.

I would like to see the directors' contact books.

-=-=--=

Has what his name got a contract?

It will be so nice, not to receive a email from a different EU countries tax department each quarter reminding me not to be late in submitting and paying their VAT! I normally consign them to my SPAM box as its extremely condescending!

The good news is that any business with annual EU Sales under €10k no longer needs to charge or submit VAT returns to the Member State of the Consumer and can de-register from 1 Jan 2019. If the business is UK VAT registered they may charge UK VAT instead. Shame this had not happened before. There was nothing worse than a business who has to do VAT returns with Sales of under €10k, just because they are selling to EU Consumers.

I just need to find out what is going to happen to UK business who have more than €10k in EU Sales to "Consumers". Hopefully no more VAT charges to be paid to the each "Member states of the Consumers"!

That's obviously a sweetener so you vote to remain in the second referendum, little woman.

Strewth. At this rate, Dilbert's gonna be the only one left who still wants to leave.

:o)

cynic - 02 Jan 2019 15:10 - 11125 of 12628

not so, but everyone (the whole country even) is more than a little bored with the whole process let alone the continuous and repetitive nonsense that is posted by so many on this site

Cerise Noire Girl - 02 Jan 2019 15:14 - 11126 of 12628

Blimey, Cyners, you're full of the Joys of January! Did you get an unwanted extra helping of nipple twists for Xmas or something?

Stan - 02 Jan 2019 15:33 - 11127 of 12628

Leave Alf alone he was born a miserable git and can't it, isn't that right Alf?

cynic - 02 Jan 2019 15:38 - 11128 of 12628

actually i had an excellent festive season though the bank manager may not concur

went away to the same jacobean manor hotel as we have done for the last 29 christmases, and this year we had the pleasure of our 3 children + partners and their children as applicable

nye was great too, with beloved and i enjoying a stunning rib of beef (hung 6 weeks) + roast potatoes and sprouts, and an exceedingly fine bottle of '83 bordeaux
bed by 10:30 :-)
