I'd better just sweep up, collect the glasses, stack them in the dishwasher and put the lights out. *click*

stockbunny - 08 Aug 2004 11:08 - 11116 of 23498

Morning....No-One!! (lol)
Just thought I'd check to see if they had taken the closed sign off the
door and it seems they did in double-quick time yesterday.

Ahhh Stormy and Chocolat have driven off into the sunset...hope they
can find their way back again!

Brockie - give up smoking? Non starter that idea I'm afraid, besides
a ginger bunny deprived of nicotine..perish the thought, it's not
a pretty one unless you're wearing fireproof clothing (lol)

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 11:30 - 11117 of 23498

stockbunny,
What a vision on this glorious morning, do you think I could beg a cup of tea, been up half the night, goading the techies to sort the site out after their twiddling, in preparation for tomorrow's opening.

Socrates - 08 Aug 2004 13:10 - 11118 of 23498

Hello all, lazy morning this morning. Full English breakfast and lots of tea and good read of my Sunday papers.

What have I gleaned? Small airports are great, city analysts are rubbish and SGE is hot stuff in bed.

So what shall I do for the rest of the day, well, storms forecast so get the washing in. Oh forgot to mention did the washing and hung it in the garden, wind blowing like the roaring forties so all dried in about 30 minutes. Terrible heat so can't even get up enthusiasm to wash the car. Anyone for a game of bridge?

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 13:26 - 11119 of 23498

Socs,
Found excellent solution to car wash problem, co-opted brassic nephew who is slaving away as we speak, truth to tell he does a much better job than me as well.

optomistic - 08 Aug 2004 13:58 - 11120 of 23498

Socs, are you still around? if you are what's this about small airports. Need a perk this week!!
Afternoon to everyone

chocolat - 08 Aug 2004 14:09 - 11121 of 23498

Who mentioned washing? No chance of that, seeing as I broke the machine yesterday...people around here have been dropping hints, sloping around in their boxers ;)

And yep, Socks, I'm definitely up for a game of fridge :))

optomistic - 08 Aug 2004 14:17 - 11122 of 23498

Chocolat, must be the time of year for washing machines to expire. My 'closest fiend's' machine did the same she said it started smoking and the water was boiling, don't think I will be able to fix that!!
Are you melting today choccie?

chocolat - 08 Aug 2004 14:25 - 11123 of 23498

I'm sorry to hear that your closest fiend is a lady, opto ;)
Melting isn't the word...but hey, I love it

optomistic - 08 Aug 2004 14:40 - 11124 of 23498

Hey Choccie! she relinqishes that 'lady' title now and again though :-))

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 14:44 - 11125 of 23498

chocolat,
With the car Friday and now the washing machine, is this a case of revenge ON the machines?

optomistic - 08 Aug 2004 14:47 - 11126 of 23498

Afternoon Stormy, hope you were a gentleman and insisted Choccie kept her top on in the car last night :-))

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 14:58 - 11127 of 23498

opto,
Being a gentleman I naturally took the view, therefore it must be so, that the reference was to the car, not the lady. If for no other reason than a lady would have more consideration for my health, the shock man, think of the shock.
Mind you, WHAT A WAY TO GO!

optomistic - 08 Aug 2004 15:06 - 11128 of 23498

Yes Stormy, we must avoid shocks, well most of them!! I must go now if only to avoid a direct hit from Chocolat, she is some fair shot :-)
will call in tommorrow PM, all enjoy what is left of the summer.

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 15:19 - 11129 of 23498

bye opto. (coward)......lol

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 15:57 - 11130 of 23498

I must depart also, as ever domestic matters to deal with, may be back later

chocolat - 08 Aug 2004 19:51 - 11131 of 23498

What was that about revenge, Stormie - there's definitely something about appliances, overheating, and me this weekend (yep - dust-sucking jobbie earlier)
