opto,
Being a gentleman I naturally took the view, therefore it must be so, that the reference was to the car, not the lady. If for no other reason than a lady would have more consideration for my health, the shock man, think of the shock.
Mind you, WHAT A WAY TO GO!

optomistic - 08 Aug 2004 15:06 - 11128 of 23498

Yes Stormy, we must avoid shocks, well most of them!! I must go now if only to avoid a direct hit from Chocolat, she is some fair shot :-)
will call in tommorrow PM, all enjoy what is left of the summer.

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 15:19 - 11129 of 23498

bye opto. (coward)......lol

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 15:57 - 11130 of 23498

I must depart also, as ever domestic matters to deal with, may be back later

chocolat - 08 Aug 2004 19:51 - 11131 of 23498

What was that about revenge, Stormie - there's definitely something about appliances, overheating, and me this weekend (yep - dust-sucking jobbie earlier)

Socrates - 08 Aug 2004 19:55 - 11132 of 23498

Chocolat
I expected you with the top down! (whatever that means).

This weekend is presumably "revenge of the White Goods" weekend. I'll open a universal virtual bottle. They are wondrous things these UVBs because whatever you want to fill your glass comes out of it.

Hot today, wasn't it?

chocolat - 08 Aug 2004 22:32 - 11133 of 23498

..and it still is, Socks. UVB...I like it!

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 22:40 - 11134 of 23498

Evening each,
Something light and cold is called for, an ex once described me as such, would that make is cannibalism?

Socrates - 08 Aug 2004 22:48 - 11135 of 23498

Stormy
Something light and cold? I have exactly the right thing for you, a fridge bulb!

Did you know that it is millenium day on the planet Dork. They are light years ahead of us but they still stir martinis rather than shake them, so much for civilisation. They have also gone beyond polical correctness, it is a hanging offence for a gentleman not to open a door for a lady.

37th August, will September never come?

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 22:52 - 11136 of 23498

Socs,
I am as ever in awe of your wisdom, however I was thinking of something more liquidated, like most of my share tips.

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 23:12 - 11137 of 23498

Of course I shall have some bubbly, really the only thing to do after such a red week, but given the weather had to chill it to slush temperature, anyone care for a spoonful?

Socrates - 08 Aug 2004 23:49 - 11138 of 23498

Stormy
I regret that spooning with you is not on the agenda. What is on the agenda is beddie byes. Goodnight time traveller, don't get stuck in any wormholes.

STORMCALLER - 08 Aug 2004 23:51 - 11139 of 23498

Goodnight Socs.

STORMCALLER - 09 Aug 2004 00:12 - 11140 of 23498

Seems the bottle is empty, my mouse is bucking for overtime and I've just torpedoed a spreadsheet, don't like early nights anyway.

Goodnight

chocolat - 09 Aug 2004 00:13 - 11141 of 23498

Have you managed to spoon any out yet? I'm surprised it didn't explode first..

daves dazzlers - 09 Aug 2004 07:43 - 11142 of 23498

snoball - 09 Aug 2004 10:09 - 11143 of 23498

Well I need a coffee and two jam doughnuts after replacing my monitor which blew up yesterday. I kept wanting to go on the internet to look for a replacement......
Luckily a neigbor had a spare which he lent me.
It's smaller but the images are more perfectly formed.

chocolat - 09 Aug 2004 10:37 - 11144 of 23498

Must be a female monitor then..

STORMCALLER - 09 Aug 2004 10:42 - 11145 of 23498

chocolat,
Sorry I missed you last night, ran out in a huff having punched big hole in my "key" spreadsheet. If I make you a nice cup of tea will you forgive me??

amberjane - 09 Aug 2004 10:44 - 11146 of 23498
