Standing orders are procedural, Hilary. They do not have the force of law as they do not constitute an Act of Parliament or regulations. The Withdrawal Act is an act of Parliament.

Try reading the text of Grieve's amendment a second time, iturama. And if you still don't understand what it means, ask Fred or Stan.

As a word of advice going forwards, never suggest that something is outside of your job description. Just tell the gammon that, if they're too stupid to understand what they've voted for, they won't be allowed a vote in the second referendum.
