Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

26th June 2008 Galleon – And Its 'Edgy' Strategy by Tom Bulford

banjomick - 09 Jun 2008 21:55 - 1126 of 1609

DALLAS, June 9 /PRNewswire/

NCircle Named Exclusive North America Licensing Agent by Cake Distribution

"NCircle Entertainment today announced a five year North American home entertainment distribution deal with Cake Distribution, a distributor of international content for the children's, youth and family audiences, with a particular focus on animation. The agreement gives NCircle the DVD and digital rights to two animated television series: Skunk Fu!, currently airing on The CW4Kids (previously known as Kids' WB!) and Cartoon Network"

"As we build our brand globally, our strategy to team up with NCircle for their expertise at retail will provide a wonderful opportunity to build additional awareness of Skunk Fu! and Tiny Planets," said Ed Galton, Managing Director, Cake Distribution. "While the properties have built-in brand equity due to their broadcast presence, bringing our content to this market reflects our commitment to exploit multiple platforms."

Two DVD titles from Skunk Fu!, "The Art of Rivalry" and "The Art of Monkey Launching," and the Tiny Planet's "Bing Bong Bell" DVD are slated for release in December of 2008."

Just to go back (ED-gaaawd,here we go) to last weeks post, which was by me strangely enough :-) from Cynopsis:

Galleon Holdings will launch the Skunk Fu! merchandising line next week at the 2008 Licensing Show in NYC. Galleon has appointed The Sharpe Company as licensing agent for property in North America. The Skunk Fu! toy line, developed in-house by Galleon's Croco Sourcing Worldwide, will debut in the US at this year's Licensing Show. Additionally, Galleon is currently in talks with a DVD distribution partner for the US. A Cartoon Saloon, Cake Entertainment and Telegael co-production for TG4 (Ireland) and Super RTL (Germany), The Skunk Fu! (52x13) is aimed at K6-12. Galleon handles the licensing and merchandising rights around the world (excluding Germany).

Took four days to announce the DVD deal, not bad going :-)

Think that can be classed as a quiet day and not complaining! :-)

Lots going on this month but it's news on the China/SEA front that will regain interest for the Galleon. The 8 million placing last October at 29p was mainly to fund the operations over in the Far East so positive news relating to this area is awaited.

Meanwhile,of interest:

Hmmmmm,mm's dropping the SP on very small volumes! Can be seen as either a + or - sign for various reasons.
Phoned GON regarding an Interim result date, think it was Len who answered,Natasha probably on her lunch break, anyway nothing official date wise.

Edit-that was regarding Interim date and not a date with Natasha..........just to be clear. :-)

banjomick - 11 Jun 2008 19:03 - 1132 of 1609

Under 90k of sells and a 9.5% drop in SP,you have to laugh with mm's taking full advantage in adjusting the SP against those 10k's being drip fed in.
Anyway, should be good watching the recovery......he says bravely! :-)

banjomick - 12 Jun 2008 17:40 - 1133 of 1609

Well, the SP started to recover after another drop, interesting times......

Anyway,a little competition to win the Skunk Fu DVD:

banjomick...hope your wrong on that 1.Don't have a lot of shares, but that is a big drop from when i bought in February,on news about soccer challenge programme with Chelsea.

banjomick - 13 Jun 2008 10:49 - 1138 of 1609

Morning fisherboy,
It's quite difficult to gauge how successful SSS will be on the revenue front,at the present time anyway!

SSS is GON's first show in China and a major achievement in getting their foot in the door within this region.
What is more interesting in my opinion is the partnership with RDF Media and where this will take GON!

Just my opinions so please do your own research as I'm in no rush with this one.

Well...........................lol.

Not sure what's happened here, don't think it's bad news being leaked as volumes would be greater, unless there is a big sell in the background.
Last years interims were on the 19th June, for the record.

Still happy to hold (he says bravely)
