Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Enhancement Requests.

Research - Historic Quotes

Default date range to last 50 completed trading days ?

Only date range is needed as an unfilled to-date can be interpreted as request for a specific date.

Thanks

Bullshare - 05 Aug 2003 19:22 - 1132 of 7315

axdpc. both easy 'to does' so lets see what Karl comes up with.
In an ideal world heatmaps would also be java. It's on the 'to do' list

Bullshare, thanks for the prompt reply.
I know you guys are doing your best and that's good enough for me :-))

Bullshare - 05 Aug 2003 19:32 - 1134 of 7315

Has there suddenly been an interface upgrade to the site? Have those dreaded menu images gone for good and now plain old fast loading text replaced it? :)

Bullshare - 05 Aug 2003 20:16 - 1137 of 7315

Alkrington. We are on it.

Jeroo; Yes!!

axdpc - 05 Aug 2003 20:19 - 1138 of 7315

Should Market Scan option be removed as it is now part of Research?

Seymour Clearly - 05 Aug 2003 20:22 - 1139 of 7315

I'm getting the same as Alkrington's post 1134

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 05 Aug 2003 20:33 - 1140 of 7315

Alk/Seymour,

I have just amended the links, so from the BBs to StockWatch it should all work properly.

Id have done it earlier, but I was on my way home, and I cant afford a p800 yet :( If you all want to chip in for one, i promise to be more prompt in future ;)

J.

Jeroo - 05 Aug 2003 20:44 - 1141 of 7315

TulletJ - i asked about the price of the P800 and for a possible discount at my local Carphone Warehouse and they told me 2p off - Which isn;'t much really. Any good to you?

Haystack - 05 Aug 2003 20:48 - 1142 of 7315

TulletJ
Surely Mike has a budget for that!

lemain - 05 Aug 2003 23:25 - 1143 of 7315

This is probably a darned cheek, but I wonder if someone can help me with accessing the free bulletin board over the road? I'm running Me and IE6 SP1 on a PC. 80% of the time I try to log on direct to the fbb (it seems ok with some of the other free services). I get a windows error window telling me that there has been an error causing IE6 to close. It ONLY happens over there on that particular site accessing the fbb. I'd especially like to know if I have a problem with my machine, but in any case there are a couple of threads that I (would like to) follow. I am no longer a premium subscriber over there and nobody in tech support will acknowledge my question, let alone answer it (what's new?).

MightyMicro - 06 Aug 2003 00:42 - 1144 of 7315

lemain:

It's not a damned cheek, and we'd help if we could, but for some reason our gateway IP here at IST has been blocked 'over the road'.

If one the IST engineers has an anonymous home IP, he might have a poke at it . . . :)

As mentioned by someone else too, the new navigation buttons have the disadvantage that they cannot be right-clicked to open a new window. This is a pretty big problem.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 06 Aug 2003 09:07 - 1146 of 7315

Kayak,

we are aware of this and are working to resolve it.

Ian

Kayak - 06 Aug 2003 09:09 - 1147 of 7315

Thanks Ian, and please don't take so long to answer next time :-))

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 06 Aug 2003 10:19 - 1148 of 7315

Kayak,

We know exactly what the problem is on the navigation, and shouldnt take too long to fix.

Some of them work you may notice tho ;)
