In Keyboard/language options/languages/details/settings, keyboard options is set to English United Kingdom, keyboard layout is set to English.
In Control Panel/keyboard/hardware, it is set to standard 101/102 keyboard, there are no other options.

Correction, I have checked in a Word program and my keyboard seems to be OK, however when I am typing onto a website eg EBuyer or this site, the keyboard seems to assume a different configeration, the at symbol becomes ", the hash becomes \ etc.
Is this a problem with me or my ISP, or elsewhere?

Two more:
In Internet Explorer, View/Encoding and set to Auto-Select (will be ticked), and Tools/Internet Options/General tab/Languages and Remove anything that is not English(United Kingdom).

I have a laptop and have just bought a monitor (wanted a larger screen to look at). Can I have different websites open on the laptop and monitor?
Thanks.

It depends on the laptop, you need to look at the instruction manual. Most of the time the video port is just a copy of the main screen, but sometimes it can be an extended desktop (dual monitor).

Serpico, try connecting your external monitor anyway, boot up your laptop then right click on your desktop, select active desktop, update now, settings, from there it should be self explanatory as to what options are available.

Iain, How long did you wait? It sometimes takes ages to load new additions to the s/w, esp on dialup like me.
Other than that only cmc can help. MM5 is a mystery to us all.

Iain, are you using a firewall? If so, you need to open port 1057 outward.

Uhm, well, it depends what firewall you have...

Iain, sorry, I don't know Norton, but look at the help files or manual to see how to enable outward ports or indeed whether you need to. Port 1057 needs to be open.
