Just so everyone knows...I am a small time PI. I bought originally around the 16p mark and have bought at higher also. I have day traded them a couple of times but NEVER been out totally, usually holding approx half. I am in at 21p average now and have NO worries about continuing to hold for the medium to long term. Lots of people have lost their bottle on this thread and because it`s happened to work in their favour put it down to good trading. Buying low, selling higher. Some people do that all the time and do well, I know that, but I am sure that lots of the bashers and deserters have just got lucky with the time frame and the slide in SP. Would you admit it....I don`t think so. It could have gone the other way and everybody knows it.
It`s just a matter of sitting back and waiting for the investors. The hybrid trader/investor which most on here seem to be only spark up when they call it right. On a share like this it`s luck either way.
I have waded through tons of posts throughout the months since Feb/March when I got in and I for one will very much miss PM1`s posts. I ALWAYS made up my own mind on what was said as should anyone.
I remember the days of SEQ and the constant baiting of Paul. He got what he deserved and so should ii. I have nothing against truthfull negative posts and actively encourage them as it gives balance but Paul was constantly baited and it`s no surprise he over-reacted at times. BOTH sides should have been warned earlier and we wouldn`t be in the poorer situation we are in now. Thanks. Obe

Oblo
The rest of you;
Stop whinging and get a life, masterson is/was a fake, his compulsive lying and constant googles may have fooled you but i've seen him before on BES when it all went wrong; some lost thousands following his lies while he quietly sneaked off into the shadows and re-invented himself with a new name.
The vegetable packer has been outed, great news for me and this bulletin board
Agree!!!, Check out the EVS and NOP thread and read his wild predictions ,you have experienced traders over there also telling him to shut up ..
Wake up this thread was fine before he arrived..

someuwin - thanks.
Good read - good to know other UK food retailers are believed to be already actively testing and ready to pounce next year when the exclusivity period expires.

ok - so Paul has been banned for distributing a copy of a report that is freely available on the SEO website.
Let common sense prevail.
I have had my say - no more from me

Although I feel some irritation to-wards PM1 I am sorry to see him depart.
I must admit I found him less repulsive than many others on this the board and although I wished him not to repeat himself and be more precise it did add some flavour to the input.
I must admit I think I prefer to have a drink with PM1 than the chamois leather. Perhaps PM1 cost Chammy a little to-much some time ago.
I checked to see how many I have squelched over the months and found it to be four who I dont seem to have missed any of them, but that was because I thought they were being deliberately abusive without humour/
I understand or dont understand use of copy write being used. I agree Moneyam has to stick to the rules, but is a snap shot from a RNS news shot which attributives the info to RNS a breach.
If the quote is incorrect it cant be breach because it is not the article itself.
Anyway it is nice to see SEO going in the right direction again. And fair winds to PM1 but not the PM.

But I don't like gangs of little "boys".

Shamona.
Apology accepted. It was a bit like being a ghost after you have died and hearing what people really thought of you - scary!
I always thought we agreed on most things, particularly PM. My last word on him - it may not have been the copyright business that got him banned. He was warned on another thread here on MAM by Ian just a few days ago that he faced a ban for being abusive. Someone posted Ian's post in this thread a few days ago.
Every thread on any BB I've ever seen him post in eventually becomes out of control, and I dont think you can blame the other posters for that, hence him being banned now on three BB's. He was abusive and deceitful, whether deliberately or not it amounted to the same because he refused to back down even when it was obvious he had posted unture information, often on crucial points.
You only have to look at threads he has been banned from to see how constructive thry become on his departure. He was a wind up merchant.
Subject closed as far as I'm concerned.
SP seems nicely settled at a fair price this morning. I feel the conference next week could attract a lot of publicity and make a big difference to market sentiment.

Would Bullshare care to enlighten the members of this board the reasons for QC and PM1's banning.
I notice drivers research page has been amended in the past by the mods for doing exactly the same offence that QC was guilty of last night. IE posting a buy recommendation from RHPS. Worse still, I notice that driver did it twice on his research page but received no ban. Great information on there though driver :-)
Not convinced FYB has become more constructive to be honest oblomov. There are days on end with virtually no posts and often illegal cut and pastes from here by PM which they need permission of PM to do I believe? Certainly more harmony though.
Will we get an RNS on Monday then?

I'm still concerned that any RNS (if one comes, and I aint so sure) and the rumour mill of the conference, will be overtaken by technical selling on the back of the imminent dead cross. Many people trade on these technicalities and it makes what to do now an even tougher choice. I will keep my holding, and am tempted to top up on the chance of an announcement, but I am worried that a sell out will make topping up late next week a better option.
Thoughts anyone?

France votes for ban on non-biodegradable bags
By Fiona Harvey in London
Published: October 14 2005 03:00 | Last updated: October 14 2005 03:00
Plastic bags could soon be passin France, following a vote by the national assembly to ban the use of non-biodegradable plastics in bags and packaging by 2010.
The bags have already become a rarer sight in the country, as a government initiative to reduce their use prompted a 20 per cent reduction in the number distributed in 2004.
France is following the example set by countries such as Ireland, which imposed a 15 cent (10p) levy on the bags in 2002, as well as South Africa, Rwanda and some Indian states, which have banned certain forms of bags.
In all these places, the number of bags used and found as litter dropped markedly.
Though plastic bags are routinely given out by supermarkets and shops, they do not naturally break down in the environment and can stay intact in landfill for an estimated 400 years. They also pose a threat to marine life and birds, which may choke on the bags or become trapped or entangled in them.
In the UK alone, shoppers use about 8bn plastic bags a year, the vast majority of which end up in landfill.
Forms of plastic bag that do break down in the environment have been available for years, but are not widely used because they are more expensive than conventional bags. However, the rising price of oil has made most forms of plastic dearer.
Howard White, managing director of Stanelco, which makes a biodegradable form of bag, said: "This is a way of being responsible to the environment while also saving millions of barrels of oil, and now is the time for action. Only legislation can make this happen."
In France, the ban has an extra dimension. The national assembly voted through the ban earlier this week as part of a series of measures on agriculture.
One green alternative to plastic made from petrochemicals is to make the bags from starch, which French legislators believe could provide a boost to the farming sector.
More countries may institute controls on plastic bags in the near future. In Germany, some legislators have been considering such a move, while a levy on the bags has been mooted by the Scottish National Executive.
