ENVESTA TELECOM A NEW BEGINING (EVS)

guru11 - 12 Aug 2005 23:12 - 1151 of 1643

The major investor L&G is thinking that they wont invest any more money in EVS,
so a rights issue at 1.5p - could be announced with results, that what the clever money is on, that is why people have jumped ship. The fundamentals do look good, however - "trading in a volitile market" many many other cheap calling cards out there now, and with no cash. The 1m was used up in paying creditors straight away, so they still need more cash. Watch for the RNS to come.

Looks cheap at present but KJ needs a good holiday to come back refreshed to earn his FTSE salary - he has managed to knock 70% off the share price since April. Can he be trusted, and is his credibility still in tact? No.

Maybe they are aiming for a MBO, then the price will rise 5 fold afterwards.
Then shareholders will want a stock exchange enquiry.

Haystack - 13 Aug 2005 00:17 - 1152 of 1643

The price can't rise after an MBO as the company would no longer be quoted. It is unlikely anyway as there are no individual holders who have enough.

My view is that an institutional placing at a discount is more likely at this price. It is cheaper as there would be no costly prospectus to distribute to all shareholders and the issue would not have to be underwritten at more cost. The net proceeds after expenses would be greater. It is also a much faster route. Not good for shareholders though as they get the high dilution without the chance to buy at a discount price.

guru11 - 13 Aug 2005 23:39 - 1153 of 1643

Haystack - quite agree with you. The only losers will be the shareholders, with a diluted share price. The question has to be asked "Why aren't they holding enough?" What is their reasons for not holding enough? Kevin Jauncey has done well with a 70% drop in the share price since early April. He has a lot of work to do when he returns from his holiday, to gain back his credibility. Mind you mud does stick a long time, some people have long memories and I will be one of them, having lost a fortune on EVS. You are not getting what is says on the tin. The fundamentals dont count for nothing, with this cash shortage.

zscrooge - 14 Aug 2005 20:00 - 1154 of 1643

hmm - price rushes up from circa 2 to 6.7 and falls to circa 2. Fear and greed, fear and greed. Serial rampers Advans or serial derampers H? Yer pays yer money....

2LB - 15 Aug 2005 10:47 - 1155 of 1643

Morning annbar.

I can think of two peple with the initials SB - although I not sure of the relevance to the board?

Some level of stabilisation I see.

gordon geko - 15 Aug 2005 10:56 - 1156 of 1643

will they annouce the big loss in their investment of formet jet in this years numbers as this will be circa 100k at todays price after their profits warning doesnt bad news come in threes ?

tallsiii - 15 Aug 2005 16:02 - 1157 of 1643

Looks like this one has gone low enough now. Have dived back in and will stay in until we go back above the 4p mark.

guru11 - 15 Aug 2005 21:57 - 1158 of 1643

They may announce a write down in the value of the Formjet holding, but have they sold the rest to announce a loss?

Looks can be deceiving as well as the current fundamentals.
If we all had stop losses on this one, we would have sold much earlier.

annbar - 16 Aug 2005 08:00 - 1159 of 1643

2LB -

SB has no connection with EVS but had been a director of at least 3 major Telcos - one of our group knew him personally and just thought the initials might make a connection!

We still think there is room for growth with this share.

Ah, OK, no problem.

Looking very firm today - I can't buy much but I can sell as many as I like at 2.40.

KJ back from holidays and sending out qualification emails to everyone who requests one that seem to send the right message to the shareholers - certainly the panic selling has all stopped.

I guess the next big twist will be with the publication of the result and the associated commentary - should make for very interesting reading.

Tenereds - 16 Aug 2005 11:44 - 1161 of 1643

I have had a reply to my email from KJ and he has stated that the company still holds just under 50% of its original holding in Formjet. The remaining stock will only be sold at the right time. Hope this clarifies matters.

2LB -

We imagine this time attention to detail will be given - with a focused mind or two vetting it before release!

We wonder if the Likely Lads are back in - perhaps they can give us a signal (Q+A).

REDHILL - 19 Aug 2005 21:45 - 1163 of 1643

Nice rise back up today.

annbar - 22 Aug 2005 13:51 - 1164 of 1643

Red -

Likewise today.

tallsiii - 24 Aug 2005 12:19 - 1165 of 1643

Now this one is looking really good value.

tallsiii - 24 Aug 2005 12:20 - 1166 of 1643

Nothing much as changed since the share was up at 6p. Yes they now need more working capital, but doesn't every small growing business. With recent bashing that the price has had I expect they are more likely to go for debt than for a share issue.

guru11 - 29 Aug 2005 21:46 - 1167 of 1643

EVS will be in for a rocky ride this coming week.
I think that things are as clear as mud at present,
and caution is advised for investors still in.

guru11 -

Can you put some flesh on the bone please?

Hi,

Just for those interested shareholders the annual report is due 27th September 2005 with the AGM scheduled for 11th November 2005.

Hopefully, there may be a gradual increase in the SP up to the publication of the year end figures.

annbar -
I cannot expand on the above. The last TS - after an excellent one in April - was very iffy, and for my own reasons - nothing to do with wanting to raise funds - I sold out, as I strongly believe that my losses would have been even a lot more -. On the face of it with a low pe ratio the stock looks like a buy, but now any bad news - and we have seen how trading has been going of late - will be disasterous for the share price. But one has to remember that share prices are based on the future prospective, and not historic. The MM will as in all stocks try to hold the share price up, then one day good news or bad news it will be on the move - which way though.
Haystack's comments - who appeared to be a real nuisance and a deramper - should not be discounted. If I have got it wrong then you have just lost the rise if you get out, if I am right a quarter of the stock valuation could go in one day.

The last TS was a serious warning of things to come. Maybe I will be proved wrong, on the another hand, I am glad I am out. There are too many signs.
My man in Reading has never liked EVS or FMJ, and he is a wise old rich man.
He has an uncanny nack of being right.
