bucker,

The email that you sent to me through MAM and refers me to your profile reveals no contact address in that profile.

Fred1new - 13 Oct 2008 11:29 - 1154 of 1427

He/she is just teasing you Stan.

Whose round is it?

Stan - 13 Oct 2008 11:31 - 1155 of 1427

Must be.

..Ian's of course -):

Fred1new - 13 Oct 2008 12:44 - 1156 of 1427

We will die of thirst! 8-)

Mind that home brew he brought out last time it was his round tasted good.

That was 4 years ago.

Ian, you are in the lead again I see in the footsie comp.

55011 - 27 Oct 2008 09:35 - 1158 of 1427

Aye, not for the first time during October; but I think at this rate, by the end of the month, I wouldn't have been sufficiently pessimistic. Now the Far East has the frets, I think it could well spiral down a bit yet...........

Stan - 27 Oct 2008 09:39 - 1159 of 1427

You could be right, we have had the banks go down, how about the Insurance Companies now?

55011 - 28 Oct 2008 08:45 - 1160 of 1427

IIRC, this was what finally "did" for the market after the "dot-com" affair. Insurers were obliged to sell - but it did lead to some good opportunities afterwards!

Stan - 28 Oct 2008 09:00 - 1161 of 1427

This is true.

survived87 - 28 Oct 2008 09:21 - 1162 of 1427

.... back out of hibernation now ..... not traded anything since last meeting ..... still sitting it out whilst holding on to some shares ..... was offline at home for a while ..... now back ..... but slightly busy with a job and a university course .... but happy to engage in conversation etc at a drinking establishment before Xmas....

Stan - 28 Oct 2008 09:46 - 1163 of 1427

Nice to here from you again, let us know when you are available (hours and days) and we will have to get something organised again.

Fred1new - 28 Oct 2008 10:25 - 1164 of 1427

Good to hear from Chris.

Like to meet up sometime before XMAS, just to see how much older you all look.

But at the moment I am limited physically and not quite sure I can make it.

Having said that a Chinese of Asian meal and a chat does seem attractive.

Chris, I think being out of the market for a good while was a sensible action.

What Uni course are you doing?

Email me sometime. I am interested for various reasons.

survived87 - 28 Oct 2008 12:28 - 1165 of 1427

Stan - 28 Oct 2008 18:11 - 1167 of 1427

Stan - 29 Oct 2008 11:59 - 1168 of 1427

I propose The Barton Arms, they do a Thai menu among other delights.

Other suggestions please.

survived87 - 30 Oct 2008 11:49 - 1169 of 1427

I'm happy with The Bartons Arms ....

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2008 12:03 - 1171 of 1427

Stan, I think Ian is in hiding!

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2008 12:06 - 1172 of 1427

Survivor, I was interested as one of my daughters amongst others degrees has a MSc in linguistics.

She is a perpetual student.
