I like the bottles of Creme de Menthe on the bar there, jeff! And a spooky likeness of Socs behind the bar.....

jeffmack - 16 Aug 2004 22:29 - 11637 of 23498

Dont you just love a smiley

Priscilla - 16 Aug 2004 22:30 - 11638 of 23498

...and all of Smiley's People.

STORMCALLER - 16 Aug 2004 22:56 - 11639 of 23498

Still feeling a bit groggy, would some kind soul get me some iced water?

Socrates - 16 Aug 2004 23:05 - 11640 of 23498

Smiley's People, that was an Alec Guinness series wasn't it. Great spy series.

I have this terrible picture in my mind of Golddogs breath coming in short pants, quick, give me a pint of CdeM.

optomistic - 16 Aug 2004 23:18 - 11641 of 23498

Stormy, no one is taking any notice, iced water on the bar next to the pint of Guinness. Do take you pick.

STORMCALLER - 16 Aug 2004 23:25 - 11642 of 23498

opto,
Unfortunately the story of my life I fear, people only pay attention when I put on a free show......lol
Perhaps I will test out the reviving qualities of a cold guinness after all, purely in the interest of scientific research of course.

optomistic - 16 Aug 2004 23:32 - 11643 of 23498

Would not think that it was for any other reason Stormy, I will join you in you quest for knowledge as it is better that any conclusions to your research would be better drawn from the opinion of two people rather than one.

STORMCALLER - 16 Aug 2004 23:42 - 11644 of 23498

opto,
I admire a man of principle and dedication, I think we should drink to that!
On me of course...........by jove I think it's working, what say you....or do you think we need further evidence??

optomistic - 16 Aug 2004 23:45 - 11645 of 23498

One more test I think will be sufficient Stromy then I'm away to bed.
I note that our investment policy is working and day by day we are getting nearer to the Girls on Top :-))

optomistic - 16 Aug 2004 23:46 - 11646 of 23498

STORMCALLER - 16 Aug 2004 23:50 - 11647 of 23498

opto,
I'll get the last one then, however I have to warn you that to achieve rigorous proof at this rate may take several years.....what a pity lol!
On the game front, frankly as a straight choice between the dubious accolades of victory or the nearness of such lovelies, no contest!

optomistic - 16 Aug 2004 23:58 - 11648 of 23498

Well put Stormy, I will partake of one more but in doing so I will bid you goodnight now as I feel I may fall asleep before my glass will be drained. Sleepwell yourself and goodnight to any others who may call in this late evening.

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 00:00 - 11649 of 23498

Goodnight opto, and thank you for your help

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 00:21 - 11650 of 23498

After such stirling help, the least I can do is selflessly continue this ground breaking research. I'll force down another to see if the recuperative properties are indeed linear.

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 00:48 - 11651 of 23498

Interim results suggest...possibly. However I no longer am, so I believe the prudent thing to do is depart quietly into the night that is truly my natural domain.
Goodnight all
