MEDICAL MARKETING, A Speculative Punt That Might Reap Rich Rewards (MMG)

goldfinger - 01 Sep 2004 15:33

This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Please DYOR

cheers GF.

Late on parade this morning too many G&T's last night. Let's hope for a more positive day, looking good so far. Lovely day here in the south east.

up nearly 20p great - GF -With shorts if it goes the other way will it cost EVIL

chad - 11 Apr 2005 09:14 - 1171 of 2444

BANKONE, yes. Although to my knowledge he opened his short position when the SP was at 250p so he is still in profit. It will eat into his profits though as the SP recovers and I hope it does big time.

BANKONE - 11 Apr 2005 09:25 - 1172 of 2444

Me too chad - its despicable to even think that hes robbing his fellow investor. Not like as though he targeted the Financial Institutions - just the likes of you and me trying to earn an easy shilling - stinks doesn;t the mere thought of it. Good Luck and I'm still holding.

chad - 11 Apr 2005 09:30 - 1173 of 2444

Yes BANKONE couldnt agree more. What Evil did was pretty disgraceful. Hopefully though people have now seen through one man's greed and will recognise the true potential of this stock.

I See SEO is up another 15% this morning. That is one hell of a stock to miss out on: it came to my attention late when it had already doubled and Im always dubious about turning up late for a party, how wrong I was. Lets hope MMI performs as well.

chad - 11 Apr 2005 09:47 - 1175 of 2444

mitzy, I know you've posted this before but just remind me what the presentation was about in may. PS. are we expecting anything else in April? Cheers.

chad - 11 Apr 2005 09:59 - 1176 of 2444

Chiva20 - 11 Apr 2005 10:05 - 1177 of 2444

Hi Chad,

As I understand it from this thread the May presentation will give us some progress update on the Ruthenium situation. Not aware of any announcements due in April. Barring of Course;

"EVILS ASS SPANKED AS SP CLIMBS"

Looking forward to that one :o)

Eased off a bit lately but we should see more blue as this one usually rallies later on in the day.

goldfinger - 11 Apr 2005 12:58 - 1183 of 2444
