Socrates - 17 Aug 2004 17:27 - 11676 of 23498

As everyone sidles off, Socco breezes in. Funny day for my portfolio although mostly blue. It must be the silly season.

Odd thing about laptops, just about everyone I know has had trouble with them, all makes all sizes. (That's the laptops, not the people). Most reliable in our company at present seems to be Acer.

Just in for a quickie, but all the barmaids appear to have knocked off. Ne'er mind, I'll help myself.

LOL!

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 21:32 - 11682 of 23498

Good evening all,
I have a small reason to celebrate today, after weeks of suffering a complete lack of streaming features at office, a brilliant piece of strategy thought up by yours truly (phoned am tech support), JT has resolved the problem. Turned out idiot IT bod had set MS-VM and Java in conflict, fixed in two shakes. No, I don't know what it means either, who gives a toss, main thing is it works.
Porfolio still looks like a war-zone though.
Never mind, chilled bubbly to start of course!

chocolat - 17 Aug 2004 22:01 - 11683 of 23498

I'll help you Stormie - but first let me get some cellotape for my flip-flops..

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 22:07 - 11684 of 23498

chocolat,
You are a most welcome assistant, I shall open a fresh bottle in your honour. Don't worry about sellotape, I've been practicing ducking just in case.

chocolat - 17 Aug 2004 22:28 - 11685 of 23498

Righto then

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 22:31 - 11686 of 23498

I have secured an excellent vintage, DP in the circumstances, which I would like you to sample, in the current environment any excuse to celebrate.

STORMCALLER - 17 Aug 2004 22:39 - 11687 of 23498

Actually I am doubly pleased to see you as I seem to recall you made the original suggestion to speak to techies about the streaming problem, and though I didn't take your advice at the time, I definitely owe you one.

chocolat - 17 Aug 2004 22:42 - 11688 of 23498

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together...
..doubly pleased, eh?
