BFC Masterminded their own demise hangon, not the government, nor the Oilco's.

cynic - 29 Jul 2007 08:04 - 1168 of 1184

quite right GDP .... BFC was a private enterprise, and like any company, suffers the consequences if they get it wrong .... BFC did! ....... grizzling and whinging by hangon and/or others is totally unwarranted .... there have certainly been plenty of posts on here going back several months telling everyone that this company was a dead duck

jimmy b - 29 Jul 2007 23:26 - 1169 of 1184

Looks like it's nearly dead now.

TheMaster - 31 Jul 2007 12:55 - 1170 of 1184

Heard that Barclays are buying up stock today, this could go much higher, fortune holders the brave.

cynic - 31 Jul 2007 13:00 - 1171 of 1184

fools rush in even quicker!
Barclays investment arm were also buying swathes of stock a couple of months back at about 12/14p ..... smart move that!

Big Al - 31 Jul 2007 15:36 - 1172 of 1184

Why are people drawn to these dead ducks when there are so many better opportunities out there?

Amazes me. ;-0

blackdown - 31 Jul 2007 15:48 - 1173 of 1184

It's being de-listed from 2/8.

cynic - 31 Jul 2007 16:18 - 1174 of 1184

i dare say all the traffic relates to peeps closing off their shorts (no silly comment back please!)

jimmy b - 31 Jul 2007 16:29 - 1175 of 1184

I think the answer to why people are drawn to these type of shares is,,they see it down at 2p or whatever ,see that it was once 2 and think its a bargain ,and not the dead duck that it is .

Frampton - 01 Aug 2007 09:32 - 1176 of 1184

I remember those days Jimmy, when this was going to make us a fortune....... LOL

cynic - 01 Aug 2007 09:50 - 1177 of 1184

i sure did well out of it, certainly on the short tack (20/20 says i should not have cashed in when i did, as could not repeat the exercise), and i think even long

jimmy b - 01 Aug 2007 10:00 - 1178 of 1184

Hi Frampton ,how are you ? yup BFC was going to buy me my house in Monaco,,, i broke a lot of my own investing rules with this one ,and learned a valuable lesson..
That was back when this was a hot stock.

Frampton - 02 Aug 2007 08:27 - 1179 of 1184

Hi Jimmy, doing ok. I thought I'd learned my lesson on this share, made the money that I'd lost back in a few months, then lost it again - so I obviously hadn't learned anything at all! I'm being alot more cautious these days, and dreaming less, though a house in Monaco does sound good...

robinhood - 08 Aug 2007 11:52 - 1180 of 1184
