rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

There's actually no easy way of getting back to that, is there Skinny? It would be great if we could just put in the 'Search' criteria the particular number of a Post if we know it. A nice project for Ian to work on!

Toya,
You just need to edit the query string in your address bar.
There are 20 posts per page, so post 6015 will be on page 301 which you can access using this address:

Pleased to be of assistance, Skinners.
Maybe you could return the favour... do you know anything about using mod_rewrite rule in apache .htaccess for a wildcard subdomain rewrite? :o)

There seems to be plenty of 'info' out there, but as I'm not at all familiar with it, I can't tell if its useful or not??

Ta, Skinners, but I did have my tongue planted firmly in my cheek when I wrote that. I do actually know how to do it, but it's my webhost's support team in Bangalore that have managed to bugger a server configuration setting up somehow.

As I said - I know nothing, so you got me a few days early :-)
Guess I should learn one of these new fangled languages at some point.

When I was learning to trade Fx I used Hil's rules in post 11698 to go through the
Forex thread. Very handy when you're looking for stuff!

It does seem confusing, since I thought we were now back to 5 hours ahead... However, the PMI figures for March are now out: 54.6 (which I think is more or less as expected)
