Renesola - want to see huge growth ? Look no further !! (SOLA)

whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 13:28

Read the latest interims.......just make sure that you are sitting down.

even so, i am reasonably certain (and i dare say Ian would confirm) that if there was a buy/sell note out from an institution, it would show on Newswatch

lanayel - 13 Oct 2006 20:16 - 119 of 3050

Evening all,

An excellent end to the week with Renesola and, by the looks of it, quite a bit of momentum behind it now to carry it forward towards the 3 mark for starters.

Not 100% sure about the Credit Suisse note that originated on you know where. Certainly the boys on the other side have got very hyped up about things and, quite frankly, it's not doing the value of my holding any harm so I cannot complain.

The general bullishness of the market has, of course, helped many of the Bulletin Board favourites so it will be interesting to see the extent of any markdown should the general stock market hit any significant turbulence.

Having said that it is encouraging to note that the share price has made steady progress throughout the week rather than a sudden jump up on no volume.

It's looking very good but don't be too surprised if there is a small correction at some stage before heading upwards again.

Ian

Taliking of lemmimgs and for you scepics as to the authenticity of the buy note from Credit Suisse, the actual note plus other stuff can be got from

elric@lemminginvestor.com

i e/mailed and got the reply a few hours later. It is genuine Cynic, lemmings themselves give an eventual SP of 20, yes 20

cynic - 14 Oct 2006 08:49 - 121 of 3050

thanks for the input both Ian and Paul .... can't really be cross with myself for taking the profit when i did (at 180), as i certainly did very well with the subs, even if it seems i sold out (at least) slightly prematurely of my FTSE position ..... but no one ever went broke taking a profit.

i am sure i shall be back into SOLA, but have yet to determine the timing ..... greed and brain dilemma yet again!

cynic - 14 Oct 2006 09:03 - 122 of 3050

for what it's worth, and i grant you the answer is probably, "Not a lot!", below see a summary from the MMA trades page for yesterday.

13/10/06 16:53 221.64 32,000 O 224.0 231.0 Total Buy 648,641 Total Sell 1,120,004 Unknown 160,341

so notwithstanding SOLA's strong performace yesterday, sells would seem to outnumber buys almost 2:1

Flackwell Vialli - 14 Oct 2006 09:50 - 123 of 3050

Cynic - For someone who spotted SOLA before the crowd you can't be serious with your trade statistics can you ?

You know how they are calculated (aka "guessed at"), and the SP tells its own story.

Many a poster knows why this share is northbound, and whilst we've had a whole range of SP estimates (3 - 20 is what I've seen), they are all north of the current price - the fundies tell us all why.

Re:timing of a purchase - given the strenght of the trend you may well find that fine tuning a purchase isn't that necessary - one thing I've learnt over the years attempting the same and missing out on TFC, JCR and others

cynic - 14 Oct 2006 17:35 - 124 of 3050

Flackwell .... i merely reported (copied and pasted) what shows on this site's trading info ...... i neither vouch for nor deride its accuracy ...... in fact sp does not tell its own story, other than the fact that it has risen for the last few days ...... that in itself does not at all prove the statistic i showed as being significantly wrong .... if, at the end of the day, i find i have missed out here, well so be it ..... i have also frequently missed out on selling when i should have done and suffered the consequences!

lanayel - 16 Oct 2006 08:54 - 125 of 3050

The momentum has continued into Monday morning ..... so much so that I bought a few more at 232p this morning !!!!

Had time to do more thorough research over the weekend and, quite frankly, cannot see much holding the SP back until we are well north of 300p.

Bit the bullet on SBT to pay for the top-up (at least there will be a big loss to offset the potential profits here for CGT purposes !!)

Ian

cynic - 16 Oct 2006 09:10 - 126 of 3050

and prhaps i have missed the boat, though for sure nothing goes up in a straight line .... at least i didn't have any gambling stocks (not a dig, ian) which many thought to be the next super-sector

soul traders - 16 Oct 2006 12:18 - 127 of 3050

Morning all. I have to say I agree with Flackwell (and Ian) about the fundamentals, etc. Apologies to Cynic, whose caution I respect, but given the choice between trusting the charts and trusting the earnings figures I tend to pick the earnings figures.

Today's bijou rise is comforting in a way because it could so easily have been a pullback on profit-taking, yet it shows that the balance of trades is in favour of a higher valuation.

Still enjoying the ride. Not sure if 20 (Two billion for the whole company??!!) is possible as I don't know if the UK market will give this kind of company the same ratings that they are getting in the US (like, PE 100-odd!). It would be nice - we'll have to see how things develop when financial results are released as therein will lie the proof of the pudding. The 10 that some were mooting on the other side a few weeks ago seems a bit less like a joke now, though.

soul traders - 16 Oct 2006 16:24 - 128 of 3050

Looks like your pull-back just arrived, Cynic.

SOLA Bid: 222p Offer: 224p Change: -3.5

cynic - 16 Oct 2006 16:35 - 129 of 3050

looks like i'll poison your drink when we get to meet ... lol!
will consider buying back at the psychological level of 200, but if Dow tumbling, perhaps dragging FTSE with it at that time, may hold out for lower.

paulad - 16 Oct 2006 22:41 - 130 of 3050

oh, you doubting 'cynic', have a look at the following, quite interesting

sorry, the link doesn't seem to work, any way, its about a presentation they are giving at some show, look on advfn, it works there, some real bad mouth dross on that site mixed with good stuff!

cynic - 17 Oct 2006 07:27 - 132 of 3050

promise you i too think SOLA is a damn good company ..... it's just that having taken a profit at 179, i have a psychological problem (don't all say it!!) buying back in when sp has bolted ...... i still genuinely suspect that sp will pull back when there is a general market correction (surely imminent), though it is anyone's guess where that will be to.

fortitude18 - 17 Oct 2006 07:59 - 133 of 3050

cynic

you're hardwork

:((

soul traders - 17 Oct 2006 11:08 - 134 of 3050

Cynic, LOL - if you're going to be that negative about my stock picks I shall probably drink it! :o)

Today's further pullback is now around 1.6% - we're hardly in major sell-off territory here, but could be a buying opportunity for some (not you, Cynic; there's only so much arm-twisting I can dish out ;o). Lucky MM's - there'll certainly be more upward action in due course.

HARRYCAT - 17 Oct 2006 12:23 - 135 of 3050

SOLA was down 3.7%
Interesting to see if the FTSE slide today will pull the DOW down this afternoon. If it does, then presumably we could see a further drop tomorrow in U.K. stocks.
Took profit today on SOLA, but will buy back in around the 200p mark (if it gets there!). 300p target easily achievable imo.

soul traders - 17 Oct 2006 14:00 - 136 of 3050

Cynic, would you please stop shorting now ??!! >:(

SOLA Bid: 214p Offer: 217p Change: -7.5

cynic - 17 Oct 2006 16:25 - 137 of 3050

Harry .... back to front! .... Dow hit iits target and it's that that is propelling FTSE south

soul* ..... not likely! want to beat up the likes of you ... lol! ..... lest anyone should take us seriously .... no, i am not shorting, but would not be surprised to be able to pick up SOLA in the near future at a price i like, rather than one the market (or you guys!) like
