Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

This is something lacking in the intra day charts. Take BVC's intra day chart for Friday 22 August. It looks from the chart that BVC finished up on the day. In fact it was marked down at the open compared to the close on the previous day. The close yesterday should be shown as a reference line as it is on other web sites. Then it would be clear that it was down on the day.

Surely someone has pointed this out before, but trying to search for threads "started by" someone gives non-obvious results...

Kayak,

This is currently on my 'todo' list!

Kayak,
Have just cleaned the DEX graph, it should be OK now.
Any more graph oddities please let us know.

Thanks Felix, much obliged.

Time Traveller - 04 Sep 2003 10:43 - 1194 of 7315

Felix,
any more info on when L2 will have the time orders were placed on the book? I know it is on your wish list and has been for some time but it would be very helpful if it could be shown.
Also, is there any way to increase the number of trades shown on the L2 screen.
Thanks,
TT

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Sep 2003 10:48 - 1195 of 7315

TT,

can't give you a firm time for this, but it is very much in our thoughts.

With regard to increasing the number of trades shown, you can scroll down the order books using the scroll bars next to them, but there is no way at the moment to actually increase the size of the books.

If you what to discuss further, please feel free to E mail me ian@moneyam.com

Thanks

Ian

Time Traveller - 04 Sep 2003 11:37 - 1196 of 7315

Ian thanks. I wait with baited breath for the time info.
As regards the trades info, I was referring to the 5 trades shown on the L2 screen and not the order book itself. With a stock that trades frequently it would be handy to have a bit more history readily available.
TT

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Sep 2003 12:05 - 1197 of 7315

TT, unfortunately, we can only provide the 5 trades at the moment, but I will make our developers aware of your request.

Any chance of improving the charts? , its a real pain having to move sites at critical moments for daily candles , three variable ma's and bollinger bands etc. Only one laptop on a slow modem.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Sep 2003 12:55 - 1199 of 7315

maddoctor,

Felix is currently working on the Charts to improve on them - I am sure in the very near future that you will be more than happy with the package.

maddoctor - 04 Sep 2003 12:58 - 1200 of 7315

am hoping you will have bigcharts java because thats where I am going but even that won't let you have variable ma's for that you have to go "over the road"

Felix(MoneyAM) - 04 Sep 2003 13:27 - 1201 of 7315

maddoctor,
You can already get daily candles e.g. the graph below:

draw?period=1M&action=draw&startDate=04%

You can view 3 MAs on a chart at once e.g. below:

draw?period=1Y&action=draw&startDate=04%

Bollinger bands we don't have yet, but they are very high up the to-do list,
one of the main things we are aware people are clamouring for. I'm currently
working on a revamped UI as a preparation for this (to make better use of
screen real estate so you can specify parameters for extra indicators etc)

Hope this helps. Do email me directly (felix@moneyam.com) if you'd like
more detail,
F
