Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

You must have some weird dreams Fred.

Dil - 24 Jan 2019 10:22 - 11874 of 12628

Relax Fred it'll all be over soon.

Fred1new - 24 Jan 2019 10:25 - 11875 of 12628

Often, very perceptive lucid ones.

Possibly, you have those of a sleepwalker, as shows in your desire for Brexit. Unable to recognize fact from fantasy.

hilary - 24 Jan 2019 10:33 - 11876 of 12628

Over, Dilbert? Really??!!??

With cable up above 1.30, and sterling testing 1.15 against the euro, the market thinks otherwise. It's sussed that Moggy's running scared and Brexit's gonna be delayed.

hilary - 24 Jan 2019 10:36 - 11877 of 12628

Airbus employs more than 14,000 people in the UK with around 110,000 more jobs connected in supply chains. Maggie needs to get her sh!t together pdq now and tell the right honourable member for the 18th century to stick his prorogue where the sun doesn't shine.

Fred1new - 24 Jan 2019 10:44 - 11878 of 12628

Dil,

I think Brexit is beginning to implode.

iturama - 24 Jan 2019 11:06 - 11879 of 12628

Implode is hardly the word. Chewed on by rats is more like it. As for Enders, he needs to keep his mouth shut or the Airbus board should shut it for him.

hilary - 24 Jan 2019 11:32 - 11880 of 12628

Why would they do that, Iturama?

Airbus is headquartered in the Netherlands. Their shares are listed in France, Germany and Spain, and Tom Enders is German. Their shares are up 2% today, so the market certainly isn't concerned about Enders' comments. If UK jobs are lost as a result of Brexit, then that's the UK's problem.

But as the Brexiters regularly state - they knew what they were voting for.

Fred1new - 24 Jan 2019 11:33 - 11881 of 12628

Denying the truth?

Yes, shout him down!

Ummmmmm!

required field - 24 Jan 2019 12:11 - 11882 of 12628

What the EU is worried about is the uncertainty.....they would have few complaints if Brexit is sorted properly and then everybody can get on with their lives....at the moment companies cannot plan for the future without knowing all the situations about Britain's withdrawal…..it's a complete mess...the PM should be a person that fully supports Brexit ...unfortunately Tmay is trying to give us the EU without being in the EU.....and she hasn't achieved even that...complete lack of ideas it seems.....being a politician is one thing...a successful entrepreneur is another which is what Brexit needs....the two don't really mix that easily....that's why businesses are warning that they will move to other euro countries unless solutions are found...(our parliament needs a kick up the backside bigtime !)....

Stan - 24 Jan 2019 12:28 - 11883 of 12628

Well don't blame me RF I didn't vote for them blame people like yourself who did!

Clocktower - 24 Jan 2019 12:35 - 11884 of 12628

Stan - 24 Jan 2019 12:40 - 11885 of 12628

About what exactly?

required field - 24 Jan 2019 12:44 - 11886 of 12628

It's a shame Maggie isn't around.....would have had no problems at all....she would have got to grips with the situation....sometimes (nothing to do with Maggie)….: a good dictator can do better (if there is such a thing)….just look at Saddam Hussain....he might have been an evil murderer but he kept the iraqi political and religious divisions in check....now he's gone it's a civil war still going on.....

required field - 24 Jan 2019 12:45 - 11887 of 12628

The BBC will just go with the flow depending who wants what.....what they present is far flung from reality....

Dil - 24 Jan 2019 12:58 - 11888 of 12628

Hils , stuff the Airbus guy I couldn't give a flying feck what he thinks.

We've lost a lot more jobs than that to east European countries already because of the EU.

What will be will be , thought Airbus were pulling out the day after a Leave vote anyway.

Fred1new - 24 Jan 2019 13:05 - 11889 of 12628

RF.

Maggie, wouldn't even make good compost!

Clocktower - 24 Jan 2019 13:15 - 11890 of 12628

Airbus pulling out might just make space for Virgin Galactic to build the next generation of aircraft, and the EU`s friend Branson may come home in his old age, bring loads of jobs for years to come.

Make Space the Future!

Dil - 24 Jan 2019 14:09 - 11891 of 12628

Welsh Raving Loonies had make Swansea Airport the worlds leading Space Centre in their Lat manifesto.
