RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

pachandl - 01 Jun 2004 13:47 - 1188 of 2406

16p still holding as a low-point resistance level. Agreed that trading update is crucial, esp. as it would provide some detail about the effect of petrol prices in Australia on earnings, and perhaps even give some further indication on on-line company take up of RTD products. Keeping fingers crossed.

Interesting programme on BBC 1 - hot plastic - started at 9pm. All about credit card fraud - not directly linked to RTD but interesting all the same and will raise the awareness off cc fraud.

barnymam - 03 Jun 2004 05:47 - 1190 of 2406

After RTD's recent attempt to get back to 20p, which failed with no support and the present holding at 16p - IMO there is a strong chance of testing the 14p support level in June.

overgrowth - 03 Jun 2004 20:22 - 1191 of 2406

Don't forget that there is a trading update due in the first half of July (9th being bandied around), if T20 traders are buying in on the strength of the Oz cash cow then they will probably do so around the middle of next week.

This doesn't leave much time in June for any significant drops, but plenty of time for a hike over 20p again - though as usual, who knows ?

overgrowth - 04 Jun 2004 08:09 - 1192 of 2406

Check out the RNS folks - Travelocity chooses RTD's CNP system - this is just the start. Nicely blue already.

Are you still in Douggie ? :-))))

Fundamentalist - 04 Jun 2004 08:12 - 1193 of 2406

What a nice surprise this am. Especially as the wifes ISA bought a load more yesterday.

:)))))))))))))))

Douggie - 04 Jun 2004 09:08 - 1194 of 2406

Yes overgrowth I'm still in with everything crosed :o}}}}

chartist2004 - 04 Jun 2004 09:43 - 1195 of 2406

Buyers back in this am. inc myself with 21k...

pachandl - 04 Jun 2004 10:45 - 1196 of 2406

Great news. We now need more announcements over the next month or so in order to generate increased volume and consequent price momentum. We remain bogged down in a stagnant trading range but today's news should keep us above the all important 16p level for a while longer.

apple - 04 Jun 2004 11:09 - 1197 of 2406

THIS IS BIG!

Travelocity did $4 billion worth of travel in 2003.

See RNS

chartist2004 - 04 Jun 2004 11:44 - 1198 of 2406

This is the last chance to get in @ 17p. Never to be seen again ! (IMHO)

apple - 04 Jun 2004 15:41 - 1199 of 2406

Looks like some of the weak holders were shaken out after this morning's initial rise & we are back up again.

robstuff - 04 Jun 2004 16:21 - 1200 of 2406

Big deals like this will really add value to RTD share price which, on a p/e without these extra deals is just 11 so the moving average will improve from here, a lot of recent shorters will have climbed back onboard or lose out, my opinion 23p will be seen in next couple of mths

Douggie - 04 Jun 2004 17:57 - 1201 of 2406

Nice end to week, can it be sustained this time,???????????????? ;o}}}}}}

Fred1new - 04 Jun 2004 23:37 - 1202 of 2406

I don't know Dougie. What are you taking!! :-)

Felt a little happpiiiness today. Blue instead of red.

Still holding a good tranche of RTD until 27+

overgrowth - 05 Jun 2004 23:44 - 1203 of 2406

Oddly enough, I reckon that the lack of news this weekend is a telling sign.

The Travelocity deal is massive and emphasises RTD's strong position in the CNP arena. The press pander to retail investors. Once the fund managers can ok the investment in RTD with their superiors we'll see a sustained increase in price in 2004 at the very least up Daniel Stewart's conservative estimate of around the 30p mark.

189189188 - 06 Jun 2004 06:05 - 1204 of 2406

30p I think you are mistaken - do not take the Travelocity deal out of context - I see no upside to this one and IMO will be down testing the 13p to 14p support level by the end of this month.

overgrowth - 06 Jun 2004 14:59 - 1205 of 2406

Out of context ??

CNP business is where the growth in RTD is going to come from.

When investors digested the last results after all the hype they were "disappointed" that CNP deals did not feature prominently and sold out because they could not see the growth factor. Well, here it is!

RTD are raking in cash from the Oz fuel card business as will become evident in the next trading update, however large contracts such as the Travelocity one will add significant revenue. Given the glowing report that the Travelocity board gave RTD and their products, we are sure to see more of these sort of contracts coming through.

overgrowth - 08 Jun 2004 08:17 - 1206 of 2406

Great news that the Virgin contract has been renegotiated (see this morning's RNS). Looks like 30p is getting closer by the minute!

Douggie - 08 Jun 2004 08:45 - 1207 of 2406

at the rate the profit takers have mouved in its going to take a few minutes longer I'm afraid overgrowth !!!...great news for all that ;o]}}}
