Well that started something didn't it. Do you know, I always thought a gimlet was a small gim. It just goes to show.................

Don't worry about GD, you can play with my soda fountain any day. Shall I put the kettle on?

Socco - thanks! On the team game we had 100,000 banked funds and
unless I'm being extremely dim - which is possible - it seems to have
disappeared, GD is offline, so can't ask him...but would you look and
just tell me if it's there - I've a nasty feeling our 'cash' got
invested (wrongly) last week in a share..

The GOT are showing 986,074.02 banked funds, is that what you want? Can you not see the spreadsheet?

I have looked at the spread-sheet,well that's not right anyway,
as we have kept 100,000 unallocated right from the start - thanks
spread-sheets are not my 'thing' at all and I didn't want to take GD
to task for nothing - thanks

Can see it Socco
We have too much invested - it seem like last week when we should have had
just the funds from SN invested in a new share, that the whole pot
(proceeds from SN + our 100,000 cash) was invested and that is not what
we wanted.

Can't see any point in having cash sat there doing nowt! It could be out there losing money for you like most of the market these days. Just at the moment, if any team said we will stay 100% cash, they stand a good chance of being up there with the winners. A small amount of interest might even make them numero uno.

Well we have lost a lot more then we needed to if more was invested then
we wanted, so GD please check it for me when you're next on here.
Socco - thanks for your help, have a good evening, I'm going off to
get some food now - starving, didn't realise how late it was!

Has anyone told Martini that he's been compared to a gimlet...or as the old froggies would say, gumbelet. Give me a wimble any time ;)
Btw Jeffie - can I please have 100 e/w on Dream Magic and Deep Purple?
And I might as well try one of those concoctions...TFIF as BigA would say.

No wonder the girls have never heard of a ginlet! A ginlet sounds like a pub measure, not the generous proportions we girls think proper once the working day is done.
Pouring with rain here again. I think an Apricot Sour would slide down a treat now. American-cocktail-bar-measures, please, Pooch!
