Not an unpleasant bone in my body.... i will normally go out of my way to help others (even you) and have on some occassions gone well beyond the call of duty and been well and truly shafted. Even then, I pick myself up, dust myself down and forge ahead, leaving the obnoxious in my tracks. Life is way too short and I want to make the most of it. It seems to be a phrase in common usage. It matters not what the actual meaning of unpleasant is unless your are a pedant. Here are a few examples for a google search

When holding a minority opinion, it is reasonable to question the validity for holding that opinion. Possibly, by relating to the immediate environment and then the wider environment. Ie. your family, peers, the club, the party and the World in general.

But of course, in general, you have a right to hold any perception of the world you wish.

The difficulty is wen one tries to operate on the minority opinion.

I find it strange how a "race or religious group" which claims it was abused, cannot see that its leaders are being abusive to another race.

Also, how some jump to the defence of the abusers claiming that others are wrong to think in that way.

Of course you could also say - "You can can see why the Israelis hate the Arabs. They certainly have some justifications." or perhaps more fairly "You can see why the Israelis and Arabs hate eachother. They certainly both have some justifications." Not much chance of that though.
