Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Stan/Haystack . . . FWIW I don't think the EU is reform-minded . . . . their finances are already in something like a mess . . and if Spain, Portugal and bother Italy+Greece are non-contributors . . . . add-in a few of the Eastern Countries(?) and it's probably only Germany and France ( plus UK) that are propping it up.
When DC asked for something he was shown the door - bad mistake! The issue IMHO is that we have a rag-bag Parliament that has been shown to be useless for something they were told (by us) to conclude . We should be thinking what we can spend this "Windfall" £39bn on.... Research, Farming, Schools, NHS"whole-life", Border security, maybe another aircraft carrier, more HS2 ( No, to the last two, please!).
What exactly did Mrs May think we would receive for that wad of Cash? It appears very little benefit would return.

Taking a big leap into the unkown is something that we all do upon death - if Fred and friends are religious, I expect they will be looking forward to what the future holds for them rather than fearing for what may come to pass, as in truth, I suspect their faith is weak they really fear taking that Big Leap, much like they fear the Clean Break that 52% and maybe more of the British people now want from the EU.
Rather than hide behind the gravestones, get a backbone and show the EU what the British can and will do, once we have left the club that wants our money for little in return, bar allowing all and sundry to enter the UK to benefit from our Social Services, Welfare, NHS etc etc.

Good cartoon Fred, nothing like seeing a woman that is willing to stand up and take a bullet for the team and put up a good fight against the remain team, having come to her senses after having supported them in the past.
Wait to hear those Tories cheer her this week.

Did anybody see the vile, ruddy-faced Germanophobic Mark Francois ranting and tearing up pieces of paper on TV last week? He, whose father Reginald didn't fight in the D-day landings so that patriotic Brits could be bullied by Germans today.
Those gerries don't like it up and at 'em. Show 'em the cold steel, Pike!
After all, Francois is a good old British name...

Heard their plan is losing support anyway.
60 days to go and no closer to a plan being agreed than we were two years ago. Told you they should have put me in charge , would have left Sept 2017 and everything would be sorted by now.
As it stands we are going to leave 18 months later with more acrimony and still nothing agreed.
