I hesitate to ask, but might I offer my services as escort for your safe transport home, it would set my mind at ease?

chocolat - 21 Aug 2004 00:30 - 11997 of 23498

That would be nice, thank you

STORMCALLER - 21 Aug 2004 00:34 - 11998 of 23498

jj50 - 21 Aug 2004 07:47 - 12003 of 23498

Morning snowie. Were you on your way to bed or getting up or just enjoying the pun!!

Up to watch this rowing lark so a nice coffee and croissant I think. Busy night in here again by the looks of it, let's throw open the windows let the sunshine in and I'll give it a quick sweep through.

Socrates - 21 Aug 2004 08:16 - 12004 of 23498

Good morning jj, bit of a mess in here. It's all empty glasses, bottles and Giro envelopes. Lunch is sorted then, drowned duck left on the bar, let's hope it doesn't taste of soap.

jj50 - 21 Aug 2004 08:39 - 12005 of 23498

Morning Socs. Never mind the mess they have obviously been spending that Giro money! Good news though as Pinsent and co have just won gold. Canard on the menu today?

Socrates - 21 Aug 2004 08:43 - 12006 of 23498

jj
I presume Pinsent & Co doesn't have an epic but is something to do with Olympics. I haven't seen any Olympics so far due to my complete and utter disinterest in sport of any nature. I am pleased for them though as these sports folk devote their lives to it and so few make it to the top.

Priscilla - 21 Aug 2004 08:45 - 12007 of 23498

good morning, socs and Jen!

Edit: Sorry, Jen! Didn't see you there.

Socrates - 21 Aug 2004 08:52 - 12008 of 23498

Good morning Priscilla. Fancy a Bucks Fizz for brekkies?

jj50 - 21 Aug 2004 09:06 - 12009 of 23498

Morning Priscilla. Can I join in the Bucks Fizz too Socs please? Gold, silver and bronze this morning so even if you don't like sport, quite an achievement for the rowers, worth a toast. If you don't like sport, what are your vices Socs?!

jj50 - 21 Aug 2004 09:07 - 12010 of 23498

PS - An "epic" achievement!

Socrates - 21 Aug 2004 09:09 - 12011 of 23498

jj
Rather not say in public jj, but I am rather drawn to antiques, fishing and genealogy.

Bucks fizz coming up, then I shall partake of the full English breakfast.

BTW you were right that most computer problems lie somewhere between chair and computer - my Tosh was just shutting down trying to protect itself from misuse...

Fundy, hope your computer problems are solved now. So time-consuming.
