Rodspoty - 17 Apr 2008 12:44 - 13 of 28

The last and first time I saw Keith in the flesh was at the TAD AGM a few years back. Not long after that he seems to have dissapeared off the bbs and has not showed up at the EGM/AGM's either from what I hear, thats all I know, end of story.

TAD was due to run out of money last month, but at the last minute managed to raise some money at 1p to hopefully keep them going until more substantial funding can be arranged. The question is will they find the the investors to put up the dosh and more importantly, what will the dilution be to shareholders. The rumoured tie up with the likes of Google (mentioned in the Express) would get the ball rolling.

For the first time they do seem to have the right product, at the right time with ''Application Jukebox'' launched a few days ago to +ve reviews and one company has already dumped its competitors in favour of TAD's Saas software.

The jury is out.

This is a step in the right direction........

Tadpole Technology PLC
22 April 2008

Endeavors and Partners to Offer Microsoft Office on a Rental Basis

Tadpole Technology plc ('the Company'), through its UK subsidiary Endeavors
Technologies Ltd ('Endeavors'), has announced support for the Microsoft program
amending the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA). The new program allows
service providers to stream Microsoft Office for delivery through a
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.

'We've anticipated this change and are pleased that Microsoft now has a date for
allowing service providers to stream Microsoft Office,' said Peter Bondar, CEO
at Endeavors. 'We have completed proof of concept programs with a number of
providers and have been waiting for the amended SPLA program to roll out new
services. Through our partnerships, we are poised to take advantage of the new
business opportunities on day one.'

Service providers will use Application Jukebox as the platform to stream and
virtualize Microsoft Office so it can be offered on a rental basis through a
SaaS model. Application Jukebox enables service providers to introduce flexible
licensing models for Microsoft Office and other Windows applications, improve
the efficiency of software rollouts, ensure that subscribers stay up-to-date
with the latest versions and guarantee license agreement compliance.

Mat Clothier, managing director of Partner Advantage Ltd, a service provider
planning to offer 'Office in a Box' commented, 'In the future most applications
will be paid for as they are used, often as part of a monthly contract, in a
similar manner to mobile phone services. We have been preparing for this market
for some time and have the complete solution available, based upon Application
Jukebox, Endeavors' application virtualization and streaming product.'

"Microsoft is Changing the SPLA. So, is that the Clock Ticking, or your Heart?
22/04/2008

Posted by Simon Dadswell, Channel Marketing Manager, Endeavors Technologies.

Tick. Tock. Are you ready for application streaming? If not, what if your competition is? Or your customers? What if Microsoft opens the floodgates for streaming Office applications? How will that impact your software as a service (SaaS) business model? And in the moment of ice-cold realization, a voice from the Microsoft channel shouts: Microsoft has finally made changes to The Service Provider license Agreement (SPLA). They have approved a program which will allow service providers to stream Office products to the desktop.

And those service providers that are already poised to take advantage of application streaming will inevitably have first mover advantage on the Microsoft Office SaaS opportunity.

By allowing application streaming under the Microsoft SPLA, Microsoft are enabling service providers to exploit new technology to create and manage a catalogue of Microsoft applications centrally and stream them on demand to any client as if they are natively installed. Application streaming is a modern software delivery platform that takes advantage of local computing power and modern network capabilities and eliminates the bandwidth consumption, performance and security issues typically experienced with traditional terminal services environments, allowed under the Microsoft SPLA.

The decision to approve application streaming under the Microsoft SPLA has been long in waiting by the Microsoft channel.

Microsoft and The SPLA

Behold the Microsoft SPLA; an agreement that may once have been the best thing to happen to your business - enabling you to license Microsoft products, host them in a data centre environment, and sell metered access to these applications. But until this decision was made, youve been asking yourself:

Why does the Microsoft SPLA allow applications to be delivered through legacy terminal services environments, but not through application streaming?
Why cant I exploit application streaming as a distribution methodology for better controlling and managing the delivery of application content to the end user?
Why do I have to continually firefight scalability and performance issues for hosting in a multi-tenant, terminal services environment?
Why cant I remove compatibility and stability issues by isolating the streamed application from other applications configuration/run time environment?
Why cant I improve license management control and the security of application content?... The list continues.
Its true, that delivering software through a terminal services environment can achieve SaaS revenue streams albeit rather inefficiently and clumsily. Application streaming happens to be a whole lot smarter. So you can better control your infrastructure, costs, the software you deliver, and your business. And you dont have to be a computer scientist to figure it all out.

Same 'ole, same 'ole. Message too complex, market too diffuse and ill-defined.

Who needs this stuff?

City AM (Free paper)

"Troubled IT minnow Tadpole Technology swam into safer waters after a landmark deal which will allow PC users to rent Microsoft Office products from their broadband service providers over the internet. Its shares rose 16 per cent to 2.13p. Chief executive Peter Bondar tells me he expects to sign deals with as many as three broadband suppliers who will use his software to do this by June. "

Looking good for the long term again.
Finally got their act together at last. Now time to start getting a better picture re financials.
This product hitting the market at a good time and with the ever developing IT market, surely this has got to be a success.
Will be interesting to see who the three b/b suppliers are.Others might follow suit at a later date.

Anusha Bradley of CityAM (Spotlight on SmallCaps)...

"Tad Tech continued to rally, up 10% to 2.45p. It looks set to continue as I hear deals with Google and global software company Citrix are earmarked for June.

If this comes to fruition then chief executive Peter Bondar, dubbed the "flying doctor" for his ability to nurse sick companies back to health, could make a killing."

Endeavors shares suspended on LSE after co fails to raise funds
AFX

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Shares in Endeavors Plc. have been temporarily suspended from the London Stock Exchange after it said it could not complete a final stage of fundraising.

The company was due to cancel its main listing at the end of this week and begin trading on AIM on July 21, but will not be proceeding as it is unable to confirm at least one year's working capital -- a requirement of admission to AIM.

Endeavors, formerly Tadpole Technology Plc., said it had hoped to complete a major funding round in the first quarter, but did not receive the level of commitment the directors considered necessary to maintain existing operations and finance planned growth.

It then tried to raise further funds from private and institutional investors, and while the first two stages of a three stage process were concluded, it was unable to complete final stage of its fundraising.

Chairman David Lee said: 'The continued decline in institutional confidence has undermined our best efforts to satisfactorily conclude the proposed re-construction of the company and our inability to attract the relevant level of investment appropriate to the company's phase of development is deeply disappointing. We are exploring all available options.'
