more of the same:
"According to a well-publicized Frost & Sullivan research report, the U.S. distance learning market is expected to be $2.9 billion in 2004," said Garey De Angelis, CEO of Motion Media Technology. "Motion Media is in a unique position to provide breakthrough video communications products to these distance learning markets by offering solutions that pack performance, flexibility and robust capability, as well as including a price point that appeals to cost-conscious organizations, such as universities and government institutions."

"With the need for distance learning growing at such remarkable speed, we chose Motion Media to custom deliver this large custom bridging solution. We can now bridge as many participants we desire with 'one to many' conferencing for distance education," said Jaime Tacher y Samarel, Director General, Mexico. "With the variable call speeds and call formats that are quite common here in Mexico, the Motion Media Distance Learning Conferencing Solution gives us the flexibility to not only use the bridge in one environment or application, but many."

At the heart of the DLCS platform is a 48-port IP conferencing bridge designed from the ground up to service the needs of one-to-many distance learning conditions. Capable of supporting a myriad of call speeds and equipment formats, the DLCS platform enables legacy video communications equipment to work with the latest desktop videoconferencing products, such as the Motion Media mm745, by way of Motion Media's Conference Manager Software. The DLCS platform bridge will be centered in Mexico City, where it will be able to connect to 48 universities throughout the country.

Integral in deployment, government relations and in-nation management of this distance learning project is SAASTEL, a Motion Media partner and distributor in Mexico that specializes with large-scale deployments of video/telephony solutions for telehealth, security and surveillance, and enterprise environments.

"With this Motion Media's DLCS platform in place, one professor will be able to present and lecture to thousands of students. This opens new doors for specialists, such as doctors, who can further extend their expertise to colleagues and students dispersed throughout the country," concludes Garey De Angelis.

Deployment began December 31, 2003 and is expected to be completed by Q2, 2004.

More gris for the MMD mill?

President Bush presents 2004 State of the Union Address ***

KUAM-TV,

"On the home front, Guam's economy is showing signs of recovery. The President spoke on what we need to do this year: job training for new economic opportunities through community colleges, bolstering homeland security and addressing shortfalls in health care. I would also like to add to that list placing special emphasis on health care for minorities and those in rural areas. I support the President's idea of bringing information technology to bear on providing solutions to these problems. I will be introducing legislation to enable Guam to access federal funds for telemedicine under the Rural Healthcare program. I hope the President will support my initiative, as an example of new technology increasing access to health care.

Does anybody think mmd will get above 50p this year?

ticker - 24 Jan 2004 11:18 - 18 of 19

xx, I like to think that this stock will shoot up to the moon, but for the last few days the share price has been very volatile because of profit taking. I got in at the 12p mark and will hold on to them for the long term. IMHO, this company has a lot of upside protential.

ticker,

A couple of points to bear in mind;

MMD have YET to announce a significant profit generating deal.

They have sufficient cash to last until June 2004.

If no major orders are announced by April, then another diluting cash call willprobably be required, at a discount to market price, which will knock down MMD's price to near that figure.

Rumours of an impending significant deal abound on the BB's, but, as yet, have not actually materialised into a signed document. Until such time, MMD remains high risk.

Should a major deal be announced, I would axpect a rapid rise in price.
