The New Goldfinger Stock Picks Thread. (GOLD)

goldfinger - 25 Nov 2003 00:49

Will only cover stocks bought in the present month the last thread was getting too big and weighted down by one argument on one company. seperate threads are set up for each company from the old thread.

Buys this Month.

Telecolm Plus Results due Friday and has made an excelent start as a new buy. Now through the important 350p resistance barrier.

Sci Entertainment Another company which has an update coming and is up on the buy price. Latest trading update mentioned sales well above budget.

Bema Gold A little gem of a gold miner and has surged on the back of the increasing POG, star of the Month.

Thistle Mining A speculative punt and one which leapt 41% in one day on back of new drilling results. I lopped the top of this one when increase from buy was circa 34%. Rest left in as a gamble on POG.

Caldwell Investments Nothing Spectacular here but still up on buy price. If its good enough for Jim Slater and Evil Knievil, its good enough for me.

CardPoint Latest buy and just ahead of buy price. Been tipped by the Red Hot Penny Shares and also Citywire.

Stocks On The Watch List

Wolfeson Micro, Radstone Technology, Proteome Sciences, Fulcrum Pharma, Severfield Rowen, Deltex medical, M L Labs, NAP - Porvair.

Any comments on the portfolio welcome.

cheers GF.

"I .... have the help of my own database linked up to my local college where I lecture just a few times a year on the stock market to diploma and degree based students."

Is this local college 'degree' one in Economics? I'd love to see some proof on this claim (or any other).

If you are all you claim then your views on the penny shares you bring to our attention may be valuable. If, however, you're telling porkies in order to influence others in their investment decisions then I suspect you would be breaking the law. Please, please just offer a little proof that you are what you claim and I will become a disciple.

Scottie - 25 Nov 2003 19:21 - 13 of 193

I think that is a fair point brianboru.

metooxx - 25 Nov 2003 20:01 - 14 of 193

Goldfinger
Do you think Telecolm Plus is ripe for shorting yet? or should i wait a little longer, your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Scottie - 25 Nov 2003 20:16 - 15 of 193

metooxx get lost - you are a pain in the butt.

tobyjug - 25 Nov 2003 23:03 - 16 of 193

Brianboru. Bearing in mind that no one(particulary some one in GFs position)should give out personal details on the net, what form of proof could be given that would satisfy you and your gang? I suggest none.Any proof given would just be dismissed as lies by you,and further demands for proof would follow. And so on and on it would go.

Andy - 25 Nov 2003 23:21 - 17 of 193

toby,

Maybe the "proof" could be given to Moneyam, thus preserving GF's anonymity, and they could confirm or deny what is claimed?

vijayyadh - 25 Nov 2003 23:33 - 18 of 193

brianboru - 26 Nov 2003 01:44 - 19 of 193

tobyjug - I find it very difficult to believe that someone who is, according to himself, a qualified accountant with a degree in economics, has serious contacts in the City and who also worked as?/at? a stockbroker and a merchant banker (now that one I do believe) would have the slightest interest in promoting the type of small (tiny) company shares this guy constantly covers. I also find it difficult to believe that anyone who genuinely held those positions would be as crass as to mention their achievements. Some proof ought to be forthcoming or he ought not to mention his aghem 'qualifications'. The FSA may judge that, if they are not genuine, he is committing an offence by misleading potential investors.

You also say "(particularly some one in GFs position)"
What pray, is his position? Please clarify.

Also I do not have, or belong to, a gang. I do not like rampers of any sort. It's a personal position.

You should put up or stop mentioning your 'qualifications'.

goldfinger - 26 Nov 2003 02:10 - 20 of 193

BrianBoru, please by all means go ahead and contact the FSA, I will be delighted to present any information they require.

And please do not forget as this would involve costs i would have to have my solicitors present and a counter claim would be sought against you.

I leave the ball in your court as you seem so confident and hell bent on it.

regards Golfinger, ps, by all means you have my permission to contact the administration team on this site to reveal personal details.

cheers GF.

brianboru - 26 Nov 2003 02:20 - 21 of 193

So, let's revue this. Are you a qualified accountant and economist as your profile claims?
Do you also have "the help of my own database linked up to my local college where I lecture just a few times a year on the stock market to diploma and degree based students. Also have a lot of contacts in the city and worked at a merchant bank and stockbrokers in my early days."

A simple yes/no will do. That, I'm sure will satisfy everyones curiosity. As for the FSA I'm sure they are capable of, and do, read BBs without my prompting.

goldfinger - 26 Nov 2003 02:41 - 22 of 193

Yup, Brian B, please go ahead with your actions, no problems from this side as everything can be verified. If you have been listening to a certain thirdeye, please do not get pulled in , but as things stand you are the one making the claims and I for one will gladly accept any help you need in your investigations.

cheeres GF.

vasey - 26 Nov 2003 08:49 - 23 of 193

I hate to interrupt the flow here chaps, but as far as I am concerned, GF did bring CASH and CUC to the attention of others and CASH is up almost 7% this morning alone.

I have no interest in checking his qualifications, finding out whether or not he owns a dog or even discovering if he can swim. He could be covered in scales and have horns and a 6-foot tail if he can identify a couple of small growth companies.

Well done GF.

Bullshare - 26 Nov 2003 09:41 - 24 of 193

All:I hate to interupt the flow here as well, but come on, if you want to attack each other please do so offline or elsewhere.

Attack the company/share not the user.

Last warning.

skids - 26 Nov 2003 09:45 - 25 of 193

Thank you BullShare.

tobyjug - 26 Nov 2003 10:23 - 26 of 193

Well said Bullshare.Have now used squelch button

zarif - 26 Nov 2003 12:28 - 27 of 193

Bravo Bullshare.

We all try to keep this and other threads amicable -why cant people get that through.
regarding qualifications -means nothing-listen to all these so called gurus and what do you get -ambiguous nonsense.

Think of trading like this:-
"If you get a cup of tea and it tastes nice -you should be content and not have to analyse it as to how much milk, sugar water, temp, the maker etc are irelevant"

Also let every bird sing its song.

rgds
zarif

ps: and back to what we do -trading

bob725 - 26 Nov 2003 13:41 - 28 of 193

I'm happy to see so many people defended Goldfinger here.
I've said before and I'll say it again. His tips are great and I have benefited from them. Goldfinger - hopefully no more attacks against you now and looking forward to your newest tips!!!

zarif - 26 Nov 2003 13:55 - 29 of 193

bob725:
You are right what gets me is that this gentleman is putting his time and resources to give us this all "free of charge on a plate" and then u get people causing discord and disrupt the harmony. Also in the end we pick and choose what we want after doing our own research.
Can u imagine if it was a subscription service -would they put their money where their mouth is.
They think anything for free is worthless -let them start their own threads and submit their trades etc and all for free.

roma - 26 Nov 2003 14:22 - 30 of 193

As ThirdEye said,if you dont like his comments, you can always use the squelch button.I have taken his advice and used it.I no longer have to read through his rubbish attacks on g.f. You do a great job Goldfinger, please keep up the good work.

apple - 26 Nov 2003 14:54 - 31 of 193

How about confining all these attacks to a special thread called THE ARGUMENT THREAD?

It would avoid cluttering up the useful threads.

DON'T dare mention shares on THE ARGUMENT THREAD :-)
