Loads of Sells and the price goes up the a few buys appear and the price falls down?

hotrott - 14 May 2004 17:19 - 129 of 180

I think it might have something to do with the AVERAGE shares traded in one half on hour compared to the previous half an hour, (Barclays will show the trading not as a total volume but in half an hour blocks so it gave me the idea they must do this for a reason) it runs a bit more complicated then just that but I think that may be the general gist of it, need to do some more research into this theory.

Anyone any good at maths out there. If thats right could be opening higher on Monday.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Oracle! U asked where I got the list of London Internet Exchange (LINX) members from? I lifted them from the LINX website......makes good reading if u ask me. If Matrix can cross sell to just a few of these then I would imagine we are talking some large juicy contracts to come.....

molatovkid - 15 May 2004 00:08 - 131 of 180

Heres a bit more info....Matrix are re-sellers for Foundry Networks (from USA), Foundry supplied the BIGIron hardware switch that Matrix supplied to LINX recently. Get a load of this.....lifted from articles I dug up on the web and posted on advfn.

extract of an article regarding foundrys IPV6 technology and where Matrix could take this into the future....

The Importance of IPv6
IPv6 is universally accepted as the protocol that will power the next generation Internet. IPv6 provides significant improvements over IPv4 in key areas including address scalability and portability, network security, multicast support and mobile IP architecture and performance. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Defense has mandated that all government networks transition to IPv6 by 2008. Network operators outside of the U.S. are accelerating their IPv6 deployments to accommodate their rapid growth and the pressing need for more scalable IP addressing.
Some of our domestic and international customers have made IPv6 a top priority in their network build-outs, said Bobby Johnson, president and CEO of Foundry Networks. Many others as well have IPv6 on their planning horizon. With the introduction of wire-speed IPv4/IPv6 modules to our Terathon products, these customers now have a seamless solution for transitioning their core Gigabit Ethernet and 10-Gigabit Ethernet networks while maintaining full IPv4 interoperability and without compromising security or application performance

June 2003....

Foundry Wins SUPERCOMM "Most Promising Network Tech" Award
Foundry Networks Inc, a performance and total solutions leader for end-to-end switching and routing, was honored at SUPERCOMM's 6th Annual SUPERQuest awards ceremony, held June 3 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Foundry's new high-performance, Terabit-capacity BigIron MG8 backbone 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) switch was named the "Most Promising Network Technology" in the Network Transport Infrastructure Systems and Services category. Foundry is demonstrating another member of its new Terabit-capacity, Terathon-ASIC-based switching and routing architecture, the NetIron 40G metro router, at SUPERCOMM
