RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

30p I think you are mistaken - do not take the Travelocity deal out of context - I see no upside to this one and IMO will be down testing the 13p to 14p support level by the end of this month.

overgrowth - 06 Jun 2004 14:59 - 1205 of 2406

Out of context ??

CNP business is where the growth in RTD is going to come from.

When investors digested the last results after all the hype they were "disappointed" that CNP deals did not feature prominently and sold out because they could not see the growth factor. Well, here it is!

RTD are raking in cash from the Oz fuel card business as will become evident in the next trading update, however large contracts such as the Travelocity one will add significant revenue. Given the glowing report that the Travelocity board gave RTD and their products, we are sure to see more of these sort of contracts coming through.

overgrowth - 08 Jun 2004 08:17 - 1206 of 2406

Great news that the Virgin contract has been renegotiated (see this morning's RNS). Looks like 30p is getting closer by the minute!

Douggie - 08 Jun 2004 08:45 - 1207 of 2406

at the rate the profit takers have mouved in its going to take a few minutes longer I'm afraid overgrowth !!!...great news for all that ;o]}}}

Fundamentalist - 08 Jun 2004 09:09 - 1208 of 2406

Another day another contract! All good news in the run up to the half year results! Quite happy to see the rise being a bit more gradual.

Wonder if 189189188 still thinks we'll be testing 13p or 14p by the end of the month or whether he got caught short?

scotinvestor - 08 Jun 2004 10:35 - 1209 of 2406

forget that idiot fundamentalist!

I think RTD will get to 40p and above by year end.

However.......calm down a bit overgrowth, remember all that optimism just 2 or 3 months ago. Although i enjoy your enthuisiasm.

Great news again in space of a few days

Regards to all RTD holders.

pachandl - 08 Jun 2004 11:24 - 1210 of 2406

Hey Scot - I don't know whether there is some "history" between you and Fundamentalist but please avoid personal insults. I use Moneyam because the BBs on this site are good humoured, balanced, and, on the whole, reasonably well informed and polite. Insults will simply lead to the problems that the "other" site is currently enduring. Re RTD, rather disappointed with the volume which needs to increase before any major break-out occurs. 2 pieces of good news have not achieved that but I am hoping for greater interest in the run-up to the interims. I hope your prediction turns out to be true by the way!

scotinvestor - 08 Jun 2004 12:40 - 1211 of 2406

i wasnt referring to my pal fundamentalist!

i was referring to idiot who mentioned RTD going to 13p/14p.

sorry for any confusion to all

Fundamentalist - 08 Jun 2004 12:47 - 1212 of 2406

Pachandal, scot and I get on very amicably -his comment wasnt aimed at me!!!

None taken here Scot - my comment was very tongue in cheek re aforementioned poster. Still long (very) for the long term. Personally think 40p by yr end is overly optomistic (not that id complain) and am quite happy to see this climb gradually over the next couple of years

Douggie - 08 Jun 2004 12:52 - 1213 of 2406

...:o}}}}}}}}}}}...... here here

Fundamentalist - 08 Jun 2004 12:54 - 1214 of 2406

Keep smiling Douggie - looks like we're not going to have to send you on holiday again yet m8!!!!

pachandl - 08 Jun 2004 13:26 - 1215 of 2406

Scot - apologies for misreading your post. A male bonding session around the camp-fire seems the only solution.

Douggie - 08 Jun 2004 13:36 - 1216 of 2406

Fund....oh :o{{ !!!

pachandl - 08 Jun 2004 15:52 - 1217 of 2406

I know its June but nothing seems to crank up the volume for this share. 3mill is not enough to drive a break-out - we need 8-10mill to achieve that. Most frustrating.

amardev - 08 Jun 2004 18:18 - 1218 of 2406

Greetings to all RTD holders..........and especially to Douggie..
Good to hear you sounding so upbeat.... after a few depressing weeks.
You gave us all the impression you were ready to throw in the towel.
Then again we've all kicked ourselves for not capturing the top of this share or some other.
I share everyones enthusiasm and would be very happy with a gradual consolidated climb.
The previous high and beyond is certainly achieveable.
Good luck to all.

Douggie - 08 Jun 2004 19:47 - 1219 of 2406

thanks amardev t'was somewhat missrable and lonely sittin here watching such a promising share slip away. a bit of pachandl's camp-fire bonding 'ud go down well so long as it's not the limp wrist variety of 'camp'... dunnow tho owt for a change and a laff...best wishes all ;~}}}

overgrowth - 08 Jun 2004 22:23 - 1220 of 2406

What with all this good news around and a trading update to look forward to in a few weeks, I'm tempted to buy a few more. Why I never think like this when the price is floundering I wish I knew.

I've always had rock solid faith in RTD to become a market leader - this is fast becoming a reality.

amberjane - 08 Jun 2004 23:13 - 1221 of 2406

Can I come to your 'male' bonding session, I'm very good at lighting fires..... I learnt it in the brownies...opps must have been girl guides, not allowed to use matches that early.

overgrowth - 08 Jun 2004 23:27 - 1222 of 2406

Looks as though the lads have turned in for the night anberjane - must be all that heavy bonding today....

Douggie - 09 Jun 2004 08:21 - 1223 of 2406

yup amberjane everyone welcome to join in improving personal relationships so far as I'm concerned, while we are at it can we get this share back in mid 20's

;o))
