Never had kir Priscilla, what is it like?

STORMCALLER - 22 Aug 2004 13:01 - 12147 of 23498

opto,
Wrong button? you had better have second Guinness then! as I was just trying to figure out how to enable AM messages the arrival of your post was most timely.
Edit:
I wouldn't mind but I didn't set up the bloody filter in the first place!

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 13:08 - 12148 of 23498

Ah! A kir virgin, eh, Opto? It should be the colour of a pale pink wine and made with a touch of cassis topped up with chilled sauvignon. It should not be sweet and certainly nothing like Ribena + wine! Made correctly, it is a delicious aperitif.

optomistic - 22 Aug 2004 13:11 - 12149 of 23498

Sounds like a professional touch is needed to produce a 'good' kir. I will try it when the opportunity arrises, thanks Priscilla.

STORMCALLER - 22 Aug 2004 13:15 - 12150 of 23498

opto,
Your e-mail suggestion has sorted problem, thank you.
Worn out after all that, better have a Guinness to give me the energy to get breakfast.

jeffmack - 22 Aug 2004 13:18 - 12151 of 23498

Afternoon folks

jeffmack - 22 Aug 2004 13:18 - 12152 of 23498

And folkettes

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 13:20 - 12153 of 23498

That's better, jeffers! Good afternoon to you too....! Can I fix you a drink?

jeffmack - 22 Aug 2004 13:27 - 12154 of 23498

Priscilla
I'll take a guiness please. I need it as I fear I might be in trouble soon.

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 13:35 - 12155 of 23498

What have you done? One glass of chilled guiness coming up.

jeffmack - 22 Aug 2004 13:41 - 12156 of 23498

I was out shopping with the wife and a few words were exchanged. She gave me the car keys and said I'll meet you at home, so I went home. When she gets in I expect to find that "meet you at home" actually means "wait in the car"

Is there a book available that shows what women say, what it actually means?

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 14:01 - 12157 of 23498

'When she gets home' is perhaps the key phrase. I'm seeing cleaned-out bank account, 5* hotel (with luxury spa, of course) and a return on about Wednesday, November 16th. Good luck with the kids and washing up, jeff!

STORMCALLER - 22 Aug 2004 14:04 - 12158 of 23498

jeffmack,
It has been a pleasure knowing you! No book as such, but a useful hint at this point may be the book of common prayer. There is no translator available I am afraid, as that would require universal wisdom.
I would suggest you face a huge amount of work to prove that you are worthy of forgiveness, which you will then have to earn by working just as hard again, don't hold your breath

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 14:06 - 12159 of 23498

....and women have very....very....l-o-n-g....memories. (Which are extremely expensive to erase!)

STORMCALLER - 22 Aug 2004 14:13 - 12160 of 23498

Priscilla,
Love and understanding goes a long way to assuage that retentive capactiy, unfortunately we poor males only ever have claim on one of these.

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 14:21 - 12161 of 23498

Quick, jeff! Book an extremely expensive weekend break somewhere romantic. Rome, Venice, Tahiti and surprise her when she comes back. (Book for no earlier than November though. Previous rules still apply!)

jeffmack - 22 Aug 2004 14:41 - 12162 of 23498

Priscilla
We are off to Cyprus wednesday, so hoopefully I will only suffer till then.

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 14:42 - 12163 of 23498

so she's not back yet then, jeff?

Socrates - 22 Aug 2004 14:46 - 12164 of 23498

Is there any correlation between memory retention time and size?

Priscilla - 22 Aug 2004 14:48 - 12165 of 23498

size of what, socs?
