new millennium resources (NML)

LEEWINK - 28 Mar 2004 15:45

NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

Andy - 20 Dec 2004 07:51 - 122 of 1909

aldwick,

I believe they belong to the Angolan Governement, until NML have produced their first parcel of 5000 carats, at which time they will take obtain their mining licence, take ownership, and are able to sell them.

Until that time, they remain under dual key control in NML's possession.

Dynamite - 31 Jan 2005 10:14 - 123 of 1909

Just bought into this one today..For some reason my trade does not show although the shares are now in my trading portfolio. Weird..I have reported the problem.

Anyway a friend of mine who has traded very successfully for years has bought millions of NML as he reckons this is better than AFD. My friend is very conservative normally and has given me tips like KMR when it was 8p, AFD when it was 30p. I think these are worth a look DYOR.

Additional Plant and Equipment Shipped to Rio Lapi Mine

Plant Shipment will more than triple size of Rio Lapi diamond mining facility

Recent grab pit sampling indicates diamond potential is realizable

Production will commence in late February

Debt converted to equity

New Millennium Resources Limited (NML), the international diamond mining and
exploration company, today announces that a second shipment of plant and
equipment is due to depart Capetown on 24th January 2005 enroute to the Rio
Lapi mine site in Lunda Norte. This equipment, which is in addition to the
existing earth moving fleet, comprises a 40 ton excavator, two 25 ton
articulated dump trucks, front end loader and ancillary plant spares and mobile
workshops. The shipment will substantially add to the diamond recovery
capabilities of the plant and equipment currently at the Rio Lapi site.

The CEO John Cross said today: "This shipment takes us from having an
exploration facility at the Rio Lapi to a full production capability. This new
equipment will more than triple the size of the diamond mining facility". Mr.
Cross went on to say that this shipment marked the final phase in the setup
prior to full production. "The successes of the recent grab pit sampling
indicate that the diamond potential is realizable."

Production will commence immediately rain ceases in the Lunda Norte region
which is expected to be late next month (February).

The Company announced on 5th October 2004 that it had "arranged a standby
finance facility of up to US$1.25 million by way of a convertible note,
convertible into NML shares at 4p within 12 months of draw down. The loan notes
will bear interest at 6% per annum. The facility has been established to be
drawn down at the Board's discretion should the need arise and will be available
for 12 months".

The board confirms that it has activated this facility and drawn down the full
amount of US$1.25 million to provide working capital. The providers of the
facility have opted to immediately convert to equity and have waived their right
to interest and the 12 month conversion period. The company will therefore issue
16,666,667 shares at US$0.075 (4p) and make application to be admitted to
trading on the AIM. Admission is expected to occur Monday 24th January 2005.

Kimberlite drilling contract let in Greenland

JV partner Hudson Resources announces drilling contractor appointed
Drilling to commence early March
Drill programme 2,000 meters

NEW MILLENIUM RESOURCES Limited joint venture ('JV') partner Hudson
Resources Inc of Canada has announced to the TSX-Venture Exchange that it
has entered an agreement with Cartwright Drilling Inc., of Goose Bay,
Labrador, to conduct a drill program on the Company's diamond exploration
properties near Kangerlussuaq, West Greenland. The drill will be shipped on
February 7, 2005 from Canada and is expected to be delivered at Maniitsoq,
on the west coast of Greenland, by March 10, 2005. Drilling will commence
after the drill has been mobilized by air into the field.

The 2,000m drill program is designed to test various geophysical anomalies that
are coincident with deep mantle kimberlite indicator minerals. An advance team
of geophysicists will conduct ground based magnetic and electromagnetic surveys
over the airborne targets in order to confirm the targets and accurately spot
the drill locations. It is expected that these surveys will begin in early
March.

"The goal of this program is to confirm at least one large body of kimberlite on
the licence area" stated James Tuer, president of Hudson. "Based on a recent
report by Mineral Services Canada Inc. and our own experience in the field, we
believe that the source of the best kimberlite indicator mineral chemistry is
very local in origin. Therefore, our drill program will focus on geophysical
anomalies which are coincident with deep mantle indicator minerals in order to
enhance the probability that kimberlite drill intercepts will be significantly
diamondiferous."

New Millennium CEO, John Cross, said "We are encouraged by the advances made by
Hudson Recourses on the Sarfartoq area and this confirms that our decision to JV
with Hudson Resources in Greenland and concentrate on our Angolan diamond leases
was the right decision. I congratulate James Tuer and Hudson for the outstanding
progress made to date."

New Millennium's joint venture with Hudson Resources has a 20% free carry
interest in the diamond project in the Sarfartoq License area of Greenland.

When did your friend buy, and at what price if you don't mind me asking as i am looking to buy back in.

Dynamite - 31 Jan 2005 19:04 - 126 of 1909

500,000 shares over past few weeks average of 5p. Check out their website http://www.new-millennium.com.au/ they are quoting a surplus profit of $us 1.2m per month once they start production shortly. Golly good website.

I bought a few today at 5.20 came up as a sell but I was buying at quote with Self Trade. Looking to buy more as I free up some more capital shortly. Getting excited. Made quite a bit on African Diamonds but this looks better.

Miss Dynamite.

Thanks for the info, I made a bit on Firestone Diamonds and still hold a fair amount, they are well rated by investers do you hold any?

Dynamite - 31 Jan 2005 19:50 - 128 of 1909

nope ...did have African Diamonds several times on the ups and downs...made a good amount...NML looks very promising IMHO

Di

I expect you are nicely tucked up in bed by now! Apologies for calling so late. Couldn't get the website; it was a hyphen, wasn't it? Puzzled to read that trading statement was not favourably received at the AGM. This could be partly because they were putting back dates. The quote said that the reason was that they couldn't make a forecast beyond 2006, presumably because they had not taken samples from the other areas. The positive news appears to be that the company lending funds has opted for shares instead. It seems somewhat surprising that the financial community has latched onto one, apparently very reasonable, proviso. They have obviously proved the diamond provision in the first sector and are clearly confident, probably beyond reasonable doubt, that further exploration will confirm similar deposits in other sectors. So why the negativity? Why the lack of the normal hype? Having said that, it looks attractive for an initial stake. Quite large trades at the end of today; perhaps they had heard rumours of Dynamite around!

aldwickk: thanks for that. Impressive! Calculations seem very reasonable; Professors involved which at least sounds good. Taking the weighted figures gives $100M US; suspect they should establish a pbt of 5m a year for several years. Mystifying as to why the cap. is languishing at 7M; should be at least 35m. If its these city buffers who don't understand probabilities, why don't they get someone who does to explore the web-site?

di: that's my buy sitting there on its lonesome. Happy to tuck them away until city confidence grows. Thanks a million for the intro!

Eric...hopefully you will thank me...I think this will be a huge success. The BB on the other side is full of hype and 'vibes'. My friend who gave me this tip spends his life looking for shares that are way under valued...and you cannot get more under valued than this!

Bought a few at 5.40p this morning , market size is 10,000 so i was told at Barclays.

That's three of the six buys accounted for! (no sells). Couldn't trade on-line, but the stocktrade dealer clearly was able to do so for a 100,000 trade. Seem to be pretty good at keeping market informed: e.g. commencing of the minging programme in March; continued exploration in neighbouring sector 2/5. Interims last year were 31st March. I'm wondering whether a note to Seymour pierce would be worthwhile in order to correct the wrong impression reagding the probablility of continued production: this would only need to be a restatement of information on their website.

Welcome aboard Aldwickk and Stockdog, This one may be a slow starter but once it gets gets going we really will mbe in for the ride of our life IMHO DYOR. Just hold on to it and wait forthe fun to start.

Interesting to see such a vibrant NML thread here, but I think a few things need claryfying.

NML were DUE to start mining April 2004, but that date proved to be too optimistic, and was passed without even the equipment being purchased.

Management were changed, and the project restarted, with (seemingly) more realistic deadlines.

In July a member of the company (Shane Healy) stated that they would "hit the ground running, and be mining in September." Equipment was purchased, and shipped from Kimberley, S.Africa to Angola, where due to some mishaps, it remained in the docks for a period of weeks.

It was finally shipped across Angola and was onsite just before the onset of the rainy season. Sadly, the company had no idea how severe that rain was, and have pretty much been bogged down since, unable to commence mining, and restricted in the trenching and sampling, with so far only one area out of five completed.

In order to obtain the required mining permit from the Governament of Angola, NML have to produce a parcel of 5000 carats, and present to Endiama, the Angolan diamond company.

Until this permit is obtained, NML cannot sell any diamonds, nor therefore receive any revenue.

Several placings have already transpired, and IMHO if NML do not commence exploitation mining (ie having obtained the mining permit) by April, they may have to seek further funds, possibly via a further placing.

It does seem that there is a large overhang with NML, and every rise into strength is accompanied by large sells, and until this overhang is clear, I cannot see how the price can rise above the current trading range personally.

NML may well come good in the end, but I am not convinced the price will not fall further before expoitation and given the current cash situation, I am waiting to see if a discounted placing will take place before committing any funds.

aldwickk - 02 Feb 2005 07:49 - 140 of 1909

Andy.

Good post, lets hope they will learn from past mistakes.

Dynamite - 02 Feb 2005 09:53 - 141 of 1909

Andy, I haven't found anywhere that says they have to give Endiama 5000 carats but I do know that NML have a close relationship with them. Basically NML just need to get mining. I understand they are stating a certain resource of 188,000 carats and inferred resources of 3.79 million carats (and in the Final Results 2003, inferred resource of 8.7 m). 5000 carats is nothing when you think NML are estimating mining many more than 5000 carats each month.
We all need to do 'a stop the rain dance' ;-) then they can get drilling.
