This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Certainly can and more aswell. Buyers closing will add to the SP. Lets face it even Evil sold part of his holding yesterday so he cant be that confident. My gues is that he will be out in the next 10 days.

Even though, as we said before, this one will probably wander a bit until we get the next lot of news, that wandering should generally be in the blue direction now we havent got Evil's chain around our neck.

Looks like the whole market is in down mode. Doesnt put me off though as Mike Walters gave out a very bullish note last night.

Thanks MS no worries - what is causing this to bottom out again? The sentiment should be positive, but there are some jitters ..

I expect jitters for a while yet until the shorting period closes and a trading range of 170-200p.But the next bit of news will push them higher past 200p.

Thanks Mitzy, holding for long term but good to know where we're headed in the meantime.

Just be patient and keep the faith. Don't be scared off.

Im not a member Chiva of the M Walters site. Im just repeating what I have seen on other boards. Looks to me like traders are taking the profit they made yesterday. Like DB says its just a case of holding your nerve until the new news hopefully at the month end.
