Slt Baz Reg; My Typing and English ..lol .... All is taken in the humour it is intended Baz . lm a trader/ analyist ; NOT a P.A. or a secretary . l must admit though the use of paragraphs do help ,,lol @+ J,, je vous envoie mes salutations distinguees . Amusez-vous bien . ,,As regards a share i would investigate NOW as opposed to giving you a list of stocks i bought at a few pence like GFM and JKX i sugget you could do worse than cast an eye over EEL ......Massive oil acreage blocks off the coast of Nigeria concentrated around the two small nation African states of Sao Tome and Principe..Both are regarded as "hot spots" for " Big Oil " Recently 3d seismic indicated massive reserves amounting to billions of Bls in one of the fields alone . This is not a wildcatter . With todays technology inc Satalite and magnetic imagery and the much maligned practice of bottle brush drilling and water injection there need be no such thing . BUT of more interest and very recently BOTH African countries suffered USA backed coups with thier new found friends announcing joint manouvres/ battle exercises .. The USA, of course , sailed gung ho into Nigerian waters with a group of aircraft carriers as if to give the two fingers to Nigeria . and fair warning that the oil was already spoken for . ,,Hmm A very stern warning for them to keep away from both island nations ...... Now despite a chronic offshore high rig count EEL have secured the services of Dolphin Drilling to start drilling with effect of last month will production following at the end of November .. . They have 110 million in the bank. No debt . What more could you ask ? @+ J

TFC, you could sell your posts to spammers as "word-salad".

explosive - 27 Oct 2005 18:41 - 12213 of 27111

Agreed, this thread becomes less worth reading everytime I visit it. Broken record springs to mind with the majority of the comments.... Shamona good call on Bio, and agreed this looks like a nice short term spike play....
TFC - your research might be accurate, maybe a better idea to start a Frenchie tips string... Who knows you could well attract a following..

Hi all.

The much awaited questions. They arrived this morning but at my home address. To me some new names are mentioned but maybe thats my poor DYOR.

Comments from your letter written beneath each question.

I have volunteered to write to you on behalf of a large group of private investors which frequent the Fillyaboots and MoneyAM bulletin boards (www.fillyaboots.com & www.moneyam.com). We have collectively produced some questions which we hope you will be able to provide us answers for. Obviously we understand that you may not be able to provide complete answers in every instance due to market restrictions or if you consider the information to be price sensitive. However this should have the added advantage of only having to answer a set of questions once rather than multiple times from the same people.

1) What was Stanelcos role at the recent conference at Philadelphia? Did they speak at all, demonstrate or were they just in the crowd?

Several members of Stanelcos management team were present at the Philadelphia conference, including the MD and Commercial director and myself. At the last moment we were given the opportunity to present a paper on Green Seal and Starpol 2000 material. The presentation was given by myself and was well received. We were also given the opportunity to set up a table top presentation of material at an evening reception where we showed Green Seal, Starpol material, Cradle wrap and other Stanelco products. A great deal of interest was shown with several leads to follow up.

2) In a recent announcement you said new Starpol products would be revealed at the recent conference in the US. What were they?

Starpol is a range of materials, a new formulation Starpol 3000 is a bio-compostable material with many of the attributes of Starpol 2000 but has high clarity. This material is seen as having a huge market benefit.

3) Is one of the new Starpol 2000 products an Oxygen Scavenger?

O2 scavengers have yet to be released.

4) Is Wal-Mart waiting for FDA approval on Starpol 2000, so that they can change to a Greenseal and Starpol 2000 combination, and bin the Polythene?

A number of potential customers in the USA require full FDA approval prior to adopting Starpol materials for food products. Initially we are targeting replacement of APET.

5) Are all the US big retailers using Polythene, or are there any in a position to use Greenseal without Starpol 2000, like ASDA are?

In the USA most trays used are Polypropylene materials. Whilst in the UK they are PET, however PP does not have as good a gas barrier which makes Starpol 2000 a good alternative to move directly into a biodegradable option.

6) Do you have any idea of the expected timeframe for FDA approval for Starpol usage with meat products?

The material has been granted food approval for fruit and vegetables and in currently awaiting final approval for all other foods. This is a statutory 120 days time frame with has already started.

7) What does the recently announced tie-up with Natureworks actually mean? Unfortunately the reports on this have been translated in many ways so there are several versions floating around the net.

PLA is a component of Starpol 2000 material and we have secured an ample supply from Natureworks

8) Are we just buying material from Natureworks for use in Starpol that we sell to other companies or are we supplying Natureworks in any way?

Natureworks LLC, a Cargill company is a supplier of PLA to us. It is likely that there will be some joint promotion

9) Does SEO/Biotec intend to manufacture all Starpol or do they intend to license the IP?

Both

10) Are Stanelco producing Starpol for Natureworks?

No

11) There are various statements around regarding Starpol. It is claimed that both Natureworks PLA and Starpol are compostable. In particular I had been lead to believe that Starpol would decompose on my own compost heap within 6-8 weeks. As PLA is the main ingredient in Starpol and has since been shown to only compost in temperatures of 135 deg F or 57 deg C (well above a normal compost heap temperature) can we have clarification on the conditions required for Starpol to decompose.

This will depend upon the grade of Starpol and what it is made into. Starpol 2000 is certified to the biodegradable standard DIN CERTCO and EN: ISO: 13432. However Compostability is dependant on degrading within a given time frame and this is related to mass. A thick wedge of material will biodegrade, but may take longer than the given time to compost. Should the same mass be shredded it could compost and be certified to do so. PLA does not easily compost in a garden compost but this again is dependant on size and heat generated within the compost. In a small cool garden compost PLA will probably not biodegrade.

12) As shareholders in Stanelco, are the directors concerned by the negative market vibes regarding the company recently? And if so/not then why?

Directors are always positively seeking to ensure that Stanelco is shown in the best accurate light at all times.

13) Is there any concern over potential leaks of information? The regular manipulation of the share price the day before an RNS seems to suggest that someone in the market has advance knowledge.

If you have evidence of share price manipulation and / or abuse of insider information please let us know or report it to the FSA. It is an extremely serious matter. Stanelco endeavours to place information into market as soon as it can. For example, the recent results of Food Contact Approval tests and associated exclusive deal with ASDA occurred on the same day. The announcement was agreed that night and made at c.7.00 next morning which made it extremely difficult for any insider information as only very few people knew of the events.

14) The company is perceived by many on the outside to be 'jack of all trades, but master of none' as from the outside many feel we are spreading ourselves too thin on numerous products. Why is it that Greenseal appears to be on the backburner yet we have engineers and the like in the USA waiting for deals?

GREENSEAL and STARPOL are priority. We then have a whole range of secondary projects these are been prioritised by the commercial team who have recently been strengthened to cope with extra projects and developments.

15) Are the Stanelco actively seeking to end the BPRG court case fiasco?

Appeals are due to be heard in early 2006.

16) Why has nothing further has been mentioned about the Reckitt Beckinser, Reiser and Grampian trials? This gives the impression that these issues have now been quietly dropped.

We are expecting to do business with all of these companies. RB Electrosol Gel Packs and now Finish Quantum are using Stanelco technology on products which can be found in the High Street.

17) Are you able to give a potential launch date/target for the Mondini RF machine?

The Mondini project is ongoing as is the building of a purpose built RF machine with Proseal and others companies which will be placed into factories imminently.

18) How many RF conversions have Stanelco done so far under the ASDA exclusivity contract? Is there a projected target take-up rate by which Stanelco are measuring progress and are Stanelco achieving it?

An up date was given in the announcement dated 28/07/05

19) When is the auction for the cigarette filter technology going to take place?

That is potentially price sensitive information. Expect more in due course. We do not know the value of this technology

20) How long do you expect to have to keep the 'auction' open for the sale of the cigarette filter patents?

See above

21) Could you clarify the SP Metal Order? What are the 10,000 tons of Starpol for, film or semi-rigids, and who is the end user or supplier.

10,000 Metric tonnes are primarily for flexible applications

Thank you very much from me and on behalf of the other posters at fillyaboots and moneyam for taking the time to answer our questions. I know it must seem impossible to please us damn investors but we are impressed with the progress made so far despite our constant questioning!

Best regards,

Bema - Name change to protect the innocent!

Welcome rabbit "Starpol 3000". Live long and prosper!

And, also thanks for your efforts.

Spoken like a true vulcan.
Thanks for taking the time to do that, Bema.
Going to digest (or compost) the answers and see what I think. (Not that it will be worth reading my thoughts)!!

bema,

Thanks for your posting and the effort made to put it together.

Although not price enhancing information, which we did not expect anyway, it was useful to have a peep behind the scenes as it were.

I think this share has great potential, but not for the impatient " long termer" if that is not a contradiction in term(er)s.

Congartulations Bema - and well done
A comprehensive response - the only answer I was a little bit No - a lot) disappointed with was the schedule of greenseal - referring us to an update that is 3 months old - something not quite right - unless we are getting an update tomorrow - therefore price sensitive !!.

Baza.

greekman - 27 Oct 2005 20:47 - 12220 of 27111

Bema,

Same from me. Many thanks re your time and trouble on our behalf,

Thanks greekman.

greekman - 27 Oct 2005 20:49 - 12221 of 27111

Blunt1910,

Looking again at Bema's post, it reads that an update will be included in tomorrows release.

hewittalan6 - 27 Oct 2005 21:33 - 12222 of 27111

Hi,
Just re-read it myself. It doesn't give much away, but we never expected it to. Interesting that the word imminent is used in point 17. It was also interesting that regarding ciggy filters, he could have said "we have not yet decided when to auction", or "there are no plans yet for an auction timescale".
He didn't. He just said this information was price sensitive. This leads me to believe that this auction has now been decided and the news will be released shortly.
Other intersting points to note, were that starpol and greenseal were priority, but there were many other products to be worked on and the improvement from 2000 to 3000.
All in all, not spectacular (never thought it would be) but promising and reassuring.
Alan

siomic - 27 Oct 2005 22:54 - 12223 of 27111

The last time things were looking good with Stanelco, IG Index closed all bets. The share price leaped nearly 20% within days. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

With regards to question 16...

16) Why has nothing further has been mentioned about the Reckitt Beckinser, Reiser and Grampian trials? This gives the impression that these issues have now been quietly dropped.

Presumably, this press release from Reckitt Benckiser implies SEO (Aquasol) involvment!

Launch of Finish Quantum A Breakthrough in Automatic Dishwashing

Reckitt Benckiser plc (RB.L) today announces the UK launch of Finish Quantum - a breakthrough in automatic dishwashing. Created from revolutionary design and intellectual property-protected technology, Finish Quantum is the first product to combine powder, gel and Powerball technology in one single dose, with the added benefit of no unwrapping.

This innovation is new and completely different to any other recent product changes, and signifies a step-change in product design, based on:

a water-soluble capsule containing three separate chambers
separately sealing highly effective and otherwise incompatible cleaning agents
releasing these agents at the right stage of the cleaning cycle to perform specific functions

Finish Quantum is also convenient for the consumer to use: there is no need to add salt or rinse aid, as this is included in the product; glass protection is also integrated; and now there is no longer a need to unwrap before using.

In consumer testing 7 out of 10 consumers said that they prefer Finish Quantum to their current product and 8 out of 10 said the product exceeded their expectations.

Finish Quantum is recommended by major dishwashing manufacturers including Bosch, Whirlpool and Electrolux. It is being launched in all major supermarkets across the UK, and is being progressively rolled-out to other markets in Europe in due course.

Commenting Bart Becht, Chief Executive Officer of Reckitt Benckiser said: -

Innovation is a cornerstone of our growth strategy with 40% of net revenues coming from products launched in the past 3 years, reflecting our passion for developing better solutions for our consumers. Finish Quantum is a breakthrough in automatic dishwashing products. As the global market leader in this high growth category, we have been responsible for the major innovations for consumers the first company to produce 2-layer tablets in dishwashing, and the 3in1 and the 4in1, adding the Powerball cleaning technology. Now, Finish Quantum offers consumers new levels of dishwasher performance combined with convenience. We believe it will help to build on our strong global leadership in this category.

No problem people,

It doesn't take long and with everyones input it makes sure i don't remember that "one question" right after i hit the send key!

I'd like to add a public thanks to Terry Robins for his answers. I gave him the site address so you never know, he might be interested on how the info was received.

It all sounds good to me and reiterates that we need to be patient. However i can rest easier now knowing a little more of whats going on behind the scenes.

My only problem is Bazza calling me a "she" on ADVFN. Wonder how i gave that impression? :o)

Bema - 27 Oct 2005 23:39 - 12226 of 27111

A little bit of my discussion with PM1 on the answers....

............................................................ ................................................

Well done, an excellent collection of questions and answers :)

Only a few skirted around, but some very positive insights gained there, especially where 'imminent' or 'in the near future' are in the answers !

I got the answers I had expected to my own questions, numbers 2,3,4,5 and I guess I suggested 6, backing up my own research efforts :)

Question 3 tells us that the Patent I found is indeed Oxygen Scavengers, and they have yet to be released, and in answering that question today and confirming it, I wonder if the announcement is soon, maybe even tomorrow ?

Starpol 3000 is seen as having a huge market benefit, we don't know what that huge 'market benefit' is (and I said the product announced at the show would be big !) so expect an announcement for that too.

In the USA, as I said they need full FDA approval, then it will pop because most USA packagers use PP with it's poor MAP gas barrier, and is getting darn expensive for all retailers that use it, as is APET !

FDA approval is stated as 120 days, but that is the limit, and another shareholder was told that the 120 days started 3 weeks ago, but fruit and veg was cleared in less than 2 weeks from the start date, so I suggest it is being speedily processed, as the environmental benefits are huge, plus Wal-Mart and maybe others might have requested priority status from the FDA, as it is otherwise holding up their take up of an environmentally friendly packaging.

Thanks again, and keep up the good work :)
Paul

Apologies if he's hi-jacking someones questions i can't remember who suggested what! ;o)

well dome bema. i think it's a very interesting set of replies. if you copy and paste them together the answers to the first few questions reads like an rns.
