We believe both the RF sealing and biodegradable packaging

weakness of the stock provides a good opportunity to invest at a realistic
level. We initiate coverage with a Buy recommendation.

Stanelco comprises a group of companies with specialist technologies for use in various
areas of the packaging industry. These include RF (radio frequency) technology and
biodegradable material sciences. The groups philosophy is to develop technologies that deliver to the end-user both economic and environmental benefit and which are capable of intellectual property protection. In general the group pursues a licensing business model. At present the forecast profile primarily reflects the prospects of two business areas, Greensealand Biotec.

Greenseal is an RF-based technology that provides significant performance and economic advantages for the hermetic sealing of MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) food products. Commercialisation is via a conversion fee for the retrofit of the existing machine base and a license fee for its use spread over five years. Asda has been granted a 12 month exclusive contract for their supplier base and talks are underway with Wal-Mart.
Other UK food retailers have already assessed the technology and are expected to
commence conversion of their supply base once the exclusivity period expires. We also expect OEMs to develop and launch new machines incorporating the technology.

Biotec, a recent acquisition, has considerable expertise in starch-based technologies including material for the manufacture of biodegradable plastic bags and biodegradable trays for MAP applications, the latter being highly complementary to the Greenseal technology and customer base. A JV has been set up which guarantees a minimum volume, and a programme of capacity expansion is underway to cope with predicted demand. The forecast volume profile for Greenseal increases to an installed machine base in the UK
of c.1,300 over the next five years implying a market penetration of 25% and an installed base globally of 2,300, implying a penetration approaching 5%. Our forecasts exclude any Wal-Mart volume until formal agreements are in place. Our forecasts for Biotec include the 10,000 tonne JV order recently announced for biodegradable pellet but exclude anything for potential orders for MAP applications.
Analysing the valuation metrics and based on our low-end of consensus forecasts, it appears much of the short-term financial potential has already been built into the price. However, in 2007 once the licensing model has been underway for two full years, the fundamental valuation begins to look much more attractive giving a 2.5x EV/Sales multiple,
7.9x EV/Ebitda multiple and a PER of 12.0x (compared to the market average of 13.5x). Our DCF analysis implies a valuation potential closer to a 200m valuation, (21p per share),
which we would view as an achievable medium-term target. In terms of short-term price performance, the catalyst for any upside is likely to come from profit upgrades with the most likely source for these the announcement of an agreement in the US with Wal-Mart (which after recent price weakness the price now looks to be almost ignoring) or possibly further news on OEM agreements.

insiderinside - 30 Oct 2005 14:45 - 12263 of 27111

If SEO do give - a pre close update - Monday morning 7am - the thing to look for is - the basics - will they talk about revenue - profit - LOSS - market expectations - or will they just RAMP - HYPE - SPIN JAM TOMORROW and ignore the important things - of CASH BURN - CASH LEVELS - TRADING IN TERMS TO PRESENT MARKET EXPECTATION - can they say in line - broadly in line - worse than - better than - so we can measure - at prelims when released next year - how truthful they are -

market expectations are -

Loss 2M (yet another year of loss making to report in early in 2006)
Loss per share approx -0.2p

so what will SEO say - in any pre close update ? in line - better - worse - or ignore it and treat their PIs as turnip heads and feed them more BS and JT

it is important - cash burn - court case - could make - a placing necessary in early 2006 - more fund raising could be required - so - what will they say - if they say anything -

All IMO - DYOR !

All investors should check out: Stanelco US

This site is a scandal. Email them and the address is invalid......

What's up doc?

hewittalan6 - 30 Oct 2005 20:14 - 12271 of 27111

Niels,
The site is under construction. It is not yet up and working, so the domain for the mailserver probably isn't ready to accept any mail.
Not worried. My business had a site like that for ages while we played around with it to try and make it as good as possible, then the FSA decided they didn't like it and we had to pull the lot 8-(.

I have the tip of the year but can't post it till I get my bet on tomorrow morning, will post it up just after 8.

This is no ramp but I have information that says it will double in the next couple weeks.

Niels

I brought this topic up 6 months ago on the FYB BB( caused a mini Hoo Ha).

Apparently they do not use the US web site but the E-Mail address for SMFisher works.

Sloppy I know & does present an unprofesional image

NielsJensen - 30 Oct 2005 20:49 - 12274 of 27111

I'm sure any investors, and potential customers will think: Here's this great company I've read about and the website is a wreck. Only idiots put sites online that look like a joke. (Well, you could do that prior to the .com crash, but not today)

You should all contact SEO and ask: "What's up Doc?"

bhunt1910 - 30 Oct 2005 21:04 - 12275 of 27111

Sham - no problem - but you can tell me - no one will ever know !!

Good Luck
