Tellon well done...
20 positions?

Beeblebrox - 07 May 2004 13:50 - 1228 of 11056

that's more than the kama sutra,
well, the ones i've tried anyway !

Tellon - 07 May 2004 13:50 - 1229 of 11056

Yeah, I started with 5 and just got out of control.. I brought my family my friends every one i know in on it.

I was a wreck waiting for my open postion numbers.

I think I'll stick with the 2% risk strategy

foale - 07 May 2004 13:56 - 1230 of 11056

Keep getting the feeling that 1.7950 is a bit of a 'magnet' with Cable atm
lets see

hilary - 07 May 2004 14:17 - 1231 of 11056

Well done, Tellon. 20 positions ...... I'm amazed.

I'm really not at all sure on direction now having been stopped earlier. I suspect that I'm not alone, so I'll probably leave it until next week to see if it makes more sense then.

I guess it'll be interesting to see whether the rising support that I mentioned earlier from 29th April holds.

Beeblebrox - 07 May 2004 14:19 - 1232 of 11056

on the basis that 178.80 held i've got a small long running from 178.96,
anyone clever enough to get a short away pre figs at 180.30 ?

hilary - 07 May 2004 14:27 - 1233 of 11056

Beebs,

I suspect that the bulk of the bears had already been stopped as 17965 went earlier. Anyone taking a fresh position ahead of the data would have probably then been stopped on the initial spike up. The only winners will have been the lightning fast scalpers trading the news itself, imo.

Tellon - 07 May 2004 18:14 - 1234 of 11056

Like Me!!!

I got filled at 1.8034

(Clicked Sell as figures where announced on CNBC)

Tellon - 07 May 2004 18:19 - 1235 of 11056

I think there is more downward movement to come. We are close to a possible buy but not yet. Maybe not at all..

No Postion for me, will reaccess at 7am Monday.

Tellon - 09 May 2004 12:21 - 1238 of 11056

Hello All,

Thanks for the calendar hill...

I think the euro is oversold and is a buy.

Wednesday is the next big move for cable imo..

Hope your all having a good a weekend.

foale - 10 May 2004 07:48 - 1239 of 11056

Should be some support around this....17760 area based on price action
early last week

Beeblebrox - 10 May 2004 08:16 - 1240 of 11056

small long cable 177.69 - tight stop !

hilary - 10 May 2004 08:26 - 1241 of 11056

I'd say that there's at least another 100-150 pips to come from the short side over the next day or two.

Isn't hindsight wonderful? My short positions from the middle of last week would have all been well into the money by now had I not been stopped out of them. Hohumm ...... move on. I'm short again but from a significantly lower entry level at 7am this morning and with a significantly smaller postion size.

edit: Stops at breakeven so it's not all doom and gloom I suppose.

hilary - 10 May 2004 08:29 - 1242 of 11056

Btw, struggling to get the FX Strategy Pro Commentary today. Has anybody else tried it?

hilary - 10 May 2004 09:01 - 1243 of 11056

Finding support at 17750 so I'm out. A profit's a profit but it wasn't what I was really after.

foale - 10 May 2004 09:10 - 1244 of 11056

Not after a profit :-)

shall I send you my account details
you can pay it into my account

Seriously.. well closed out
What a market...where are those smooth runs of 250-300 pips

hilary - 10 May 2004 09:25 - 1245 of 11056

foale,

I'm wondering if the EUR/USD isn't a better play atm on the short tack and play Cable for the up legs. There's no serious threat of the ECB raising rates just yet.

Beeblebrox - 10 May 2004 09:38 - 1246 of 11056

added some more and moved stop up
