Good thing too..... I wasn't going to mention them, but ...

little willie - 25 Apr 2003 08:50 - 1230 of 23498

Hi Minxie, see your upsetting some of my chums on another channel!
Weather is coooling with the onset of winter, temp dropped to mid/high 70's and the pool from a steady 82 in Jan to 73 now. Big plums become prunes or even raisins when the depth gets past the giggle line, still we'll persevere.

Off to a cheese festival [?] today, just up the road 15k's at Franshoek,
dare say, what with the Frenchies Huigenotts connections there we'll meet some "Grande Fromages".

A very good morning to all the rest of ye and hope the Socs have dried overnight; don't forget to darn that 'spud'.
Had forget that saying, wonder where and why it came about, perhaps 8ball will know.
Have only worn socks on three occassions since arrival!!!...lw

hilary - 25 Apr 2003 09:11 - 1231 of 23498

Oh dear, Saint Willie. Would you like me to ask my mum to knit you one of her special woollen winky warmers? If I ask her to make it large enough for 2 plums and a banana, will that suffice? And would you like it red and white striped so that you can parade it around Cardiff city centre next month?

And I'm sorry if I've been upsetting your chums. It's really not in my nature to go around upsetting people. I'll be sure not to overtighten the thumbscrews over the next few weeks ....... I wouldn't want them to get blood on their nice anoraks. Btw, are you expecting any rns from them on either Monday or Tuesday?

andycarr - 25 Apr 2003 12:03 - 1232 of 23498

Hi Vasey

No more 'exotic' travelling at the moment.. apart from a gig in Birmingham tonight!

Won't be in Edinburgh, unfortunately. Great city! Will def go to the next London based seminar though. :)

Have a good weekend.

(BTW: Perhaps someone should start a bring back GD thread... he might like the attention and it might coax him back!)

little willie - 25 Apr 2003 13:53 - 1233 of 23498

Minxie...lol..tell Ma my 'handle' and not to make it in pure wool which stretches in water and becomes baggy, also not 'chaffing' nylon!!
Think of a medium sized red chilli and put a few white stripes around it!

Re chums, I'd suggest 'The Rack'...

Good rns will be welcome but cheese tasting will take care of the wicked rns..

off now, 'bye all.....have a good w/end...two bank hols over here next week...
lazy buggers should be working!...lol...lw

hilary - 25 Apr 2003 14:16 - 1234 of 23498

Can you get some of that Froggy Roule with extra garlic for the Tea Rooms please Saint Willie. I haven't got to talk to anybody for a couple of days and it's a brilliant contraceptive.

hightone - 25 Apr 2003 15:17 - 1235 of 23498

why where you going to put it hil hoy he hoyhoooaaarr

hilary - 25 Apr 2003 15:33 - 1236 of 23498

Hightone,

You don't need to put it anywhere other than in your mouth. A couple of grammes and nobody will dare come within 10 paces. Like I say ....... a brilliant contraceptive.

:-)

Socrates - 25 Apr 2003 17:09 - 1237 of 23498

hilary
That's a bit drastic for a contraseptic, if it's a tall lady and short man the box method is much more socially acceptable.

Evening all, good day today was it? Been raining most of the day today so no need to water the garden tonight. Grateful for small mercy I am!

8 Ball - 25 Apr 2003 19:07 - 1238 of 23498

Evening all,

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Hilary...Those anoraks are doing a great job, go easy on them.
I am still long, for now.

Socrates - 26 Apr 2003 10:09 - 1239 of 23498

Today, I am mostly be wearin' shorts. (Hilary, control yourself)!

hilary - 27 Apr 2003 10:06 - 1240 of 23498

Hello 8 ball,

I am going easy on them. For now. Do you think I should turn the heat up a little bit?

:-)

Socs,

Shorts eh? There's hope for you yet.

Socrates - 27 Apr 2003 12:59 - 1241 of 23498

Sunday again, don't they come around quickly. And what a fine day it is, to be sure. Or to be unsure if that's your preference!

Hilary
Hope for me in shorts, none at all I'm afraid. It's a case of blindfold the horses.

8 Ball - 27 Apr 2003 14:43 - 1242 of 23498

The chart does look over bought Hil, may well fall to 70p support in the next few weeks.
After that we are back to the 50p support, I am watching my long position.

Holding short is best left to day traders, as they may come out with another deal?
The spread is also much better for your shorts now Hil.

little willie - 27 Apr 2003 18:44 - 1243 of 23498

8ball...Minxies getting to you. She's a beautiful, lovely, clever, knowledgeable, up to speed person and, if she would and I could then I would
BUT this old thicko thinks you're both wrong and that the huskies are still upto a bit more climbing northwards, we shall see...

Bad result yesterday for The Saints, they need a kick up the chuff and no doubt wee carrot-head will have obliged.

Thought United looked good again albeit tired, much too goo for 'Hoddles sick notes [head boy D.Anderton].

Good to see Alf Garnetts whingers get three points, I fear theirs is a lost cause altho' I hope not....

Lovely day here in Paradise, Socs would definately be in shorts, 30 degrees today;
the Cheese festival was terrific, hundreds of cheeses to taste and as much wine and champagne as you wanted...also had half a dozen delicious oysters, currently hoping that one at least may work [or at least keep me awake!!]..lol..
A prosperous week to you all but not to you, green haired Minx, if you're at your normal games with my beloved PRM......lw

hilary - 27 Apr 2003 19:05 - 1244 of 23498

Saint Willie,

In certain instances, flattery might get you everywhere. But not here and not now, so don't get too excited. Besides which, you're too old (I'm married to a toy-boy).

Love from green haired Minxie (looking forwards to a prosperous week).

:-)

edit: "Beloved PRM"??!!?? Shares are for buying and selling. Who mentioned love?

8 Ball - 28 Apr 2003 00:10 - 1245 of 23498

Hi Willie.

Just keeping an open mind an my eye on things.......
Still long and I never short.

The saints look to have eyes on the cup, with no Sol in the Arsenal team they look rather dodgy, you may have a chance.
I still remember a rather dodgy offside winner in 1976 for someone.
I think Leeds will upset Arsenal too, as they are in trouble again thanks to Mr Brooking men.
I hope he can keep them up.

Have another good day in Paradise willie.
You must miss something about the UK?

little woman - 28 Apr 2003 11:25 - 1246 of 23498

Hi all,

8 Ball, you were up late "this morning" - presumable didn't have to get up too early this morning, or are you one of the lucky ones that don't need much sleep! (Or like me, you just struggle on until you finally find some time to catch up on sleep!)

It's cold and damp today. An old fashioned typical April day in the UK! Nice in short doses, and I keep reminding myself that the plants need it. (Certainly save's me having to remember to water the garden!!!!!)

It must be almost a month now that GD went on walkabout. I hope he's just taking a well earned rest somewhere nice, and comes back soon. Although the "help" is doing a splendid job, it'll never really be the same as the real thing!

little willie - 28 Apr 2003 14:12 - 1247 of 23498

Hils...know what you mean and of course you're right. Extremely jealous of J,
lucky sod although prob. couldn't afford Mr.Choo's ? shoes and a couple of rugrats. Been there, done it, cost me heaps, on balance a good investment bur bugger it, never again!!!.
That old word that you questioned in edit gets in the way!!!
It's also an admitted problem of mine in share selecting, I know, I know!!

Just back from mornings golf comp. in the vets [age admittance 50], we came second [ a first for me] 2 bottles of sauvignon blanc was the games bet which we won/drunk and a presentation bottle from the main comp, all in all a good morning.
Our anniversary today, 19yrs of bliss, been together 24yrs.

I knew I'd married Miss.Right but no-one told me her Christian name was Always...!!!...Have a good day everyone...lw

little woman - 28 Apr 2003 14:36 - 1248 of 23498

I just noticed, GD has deleted his personal info from his user settings.

It seems he planned leaving us all along................

ps. congrats LW, a man who rememebers his aniversary, and then spends it on the golf course. I hope she plays golf too!
