One last pint then bed for me

STORMCALLER - 23 Aug 2004 23:59 - 12324 of 23498

Fundy,
Guinness on it's way, and I find cheating at cards an absolute outrage, would never consider it under any circumstances.......unless I am losing...oops!

chocolat - 24 Aug 2004 00:03 - 12325 of 23498

These tax specialists...they're all the same. But he is an exceedingly good cook.

Gausie - 24 Aug 2004 06:49 - 12331 of 23498

Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the tax adjustment.

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2004 09:12 - 12332 of 23498

Morning All,
Fundy when you're around..
A question, if you forget to tick the dreaded box 13 (I think it is)
the one about if I've over-paid I want my money back please, on the
self-assess. form, can you ring them up, plead ignorance, smile sweetly
and extract the tax over-paid?????

Opto - one word VOD!!!!!

I'll grab a danish and a cup of tea and I'm off to try and sort out an
outstanding invoice...how do these companies run that never send out
invoices?? Don't they want my money??? LOL

Fundamentalist - 24 Aug 2004 09:24 - 12333 of 23498

Morning all

Bunny - you can try but I guess they will take your first answer on this one if they have already processed it. Have you already contacted them about it? If not, ask if they have processed it yet and if they havent tell them that you need to resubmit the form to make a minor correction and tick the box and resubmit it.

Coffee and a sausage sarnie for me this morning

Kayak - 24 Aug 2004 09:28 - 12334 of 23498

stockbunny, alternatively wait until the tax form has been processed and you get a statement of account showing a credit, then write them a letter asking for a refund of the balance.

optomistic - 24 Aug 2004 09:50 - 12335 of 23498

Morning all

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2004 09:52 - 12336 of 23498

Ah..thanks Fundy and Kayak - yes I have received a calculation letter I
think they called it, stating that I was in an overpayment situation.
I'll see if a phone-call does the trick first and write after that if
needs be.
It's not a lot of money, it's just the principle of the thing!!
I can't imagine any other form of organisation that could get away with
openly admitting it was holding your money in error and then turn round
and say sorry you forgot to tick a box, so you'll have to wait until
next year to get it back, and without any interest added or anything - it's just so totally unreal!

Chased said invoice, no doubt it will need chasing again...Got too much
work to do....got some mad woman who keeps ringing me up....AHH!!!!

OK glass of Shiraz Cab' please and leave the bottle in reach, I think
I'll hide in here all day instead!! ;>)

optomistic - 24 Aug 2004 09:58 - 12337 of 23498

Morning Bunny
Why don't VOD just send us a load of money instead of all these buy backs and put options :-))
Shiraz for breakfast indeed!!

stockbunny - 24 Aug 2004 10:05 - 12338 of 23498

Hi Opto - I don't mind what they do (VOD) as long as the price goes up ;>)
Yes, Shiraz for breakfast - bunny's having one of those mornings or
as some close to me would say 'one of my drama episodes' LOL!

optomistic - 24 Aug 2004 10:39 - 12339 of 23498

Well Bunny I've it some thought and I've decided I don't know what to suggest for a Bunny 'in drama' so have another glass!
